    Roos owes us two.

Poor selection in the WC game cost us a win there a month or so back. (ie Out: Davis. In: Phillips (about 1 kick)

Now, Davis' non inclusion against Geelong has cost us.

How many more games with his "cavilier attitude" cost us?

The only redemption could be that he has secretly turned Davis into a midfielder, as our midfield needs a touch of class at the moment.

Davis being left out didn't cost us this game. We got done by 27, should have been far more. To imply we lost because Davis didn't play is drawing a VERY long bow IMHO.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

To be fair we did have solid wins against teams who won't make the finals and a team coming off a loss to the worst team in the competition.

14.6 to 9.9 doesn't indicate that it should have been any more than around 12 points if we kicked as well as the opposition. There were several important misses (and missed opportunities) in the last quarter that Davis is capable of making.

I'd rather they put the club ahead of the team.

              Bull....

We lost because our accurancu in passing by hand or foot was sloppy almost all over the ground today, nothing to do with a lack of Davis.

              Wise up.

Davis would have had zero effect on the game today............everyone would have just kicked it over his head.

You're dreaming mate. If Davis played half the game he had in the reserves, he would have easily been our best forward against Geelong. If Davis played half the game as a midfielder, he could probably hit a few targets up forward.

But most importantly, if Davis played against Geelong, Geelong would have been extremely Davis-concious, especially in that last quarter, opening up the game for other players.

Roos didnt pick our best 22, and that cost us.

It's impossible to say we'd have won with Nick. But the Cats would've breathed a collective sigh of relief when he wasn't named. Chances for a major psychological blow to a team that's soft mentally don't come around every day. HUGE mistake under the circumstances.

He also deserves to be undropped. Even the coach has said so.

                          AGREE FULLY.
Geelong would have been very Davis conscious - he would have opened up the game.
Davis would have helped to hit target
Another experienced player yesterday would have helped tremendously - that is Davis.
Roos error of judgement - best 22 was not picked. It contributed to the loss. We will never know.

                          Other poor Roo judgement:
Hall was well controlled thoughout the match yesterday. Roos's attempt to use him more came too late in the final quarter where he contributed to better rucking. A good coach would have seen the problem much earlier, change technique and make use of Hall in other ways.

This is similar to Roo poor judgement of :
                          A) playing Mathews regardless of his poor capability in the earlier games in the year.
                          B) continuing to playing small fullback regardless of the clear loss to taller bigger opponents in this Geelong game ( as well as in other previous games). Does he not see what we are seeing? Why has he not attempted to TRY stronger/taller full back instead of persisting the present one-dimensional format (with so many games played last year and this year). Roos rigid format with small fullback can be overcomed by other thinking coaches/team

Mate, Davis was playing in the reserves, in the Canberra league, it hardly translates that he would do the same against the Cats especially with the bad passing that the rest of his team mates were guilty of. Wakey-wakey.

You know that for sure, do you? I think the point is that this has gone far enough & "the team" is suffering for it.
