Given Davis is just about the best kick in the team, perhaps he could have hit some targets in the forward line and we could have kicked some goals from that.
Roos owes us two.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Roos owes us two.
Leo Barry infuriates me sometimes. Yes he can perform miracles on bigger opponents but invariably over the course of a match he gets beaten or gives away stupid free kicks. LRT was a far better option for Ottens yesterday especially when Ottens was getting on top (and beating Leo on the lead for god's sake!)Originally posted by smartplay
B) continuing to playing small fullback regardless of the clear loss to taller bigger opponents in this Geelong game ( as well as in other previous games). Does he not see what we are seeing? Why has he not attempted to TRY stronger/taller full back instead of persisting the present one-dimensional format (with so many games played last year and this year). Roos rigid format with small fullback can overcomed by other thinking coaches/team
Roos shows too much inflexibility with Leo. Round 1 vs Lloyd was a perfect example and it seems Roos hasn't learnt his lesson."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Roos owes us nothing
He gave us 05.....hes done bloody well since taking over...with what a lot of 'experts' in the past have regarded as a fairly ordinary list.....
Roos has done exceptionally and continues to do so.Comment

Nice to see.... In all my tipping days I have never brought myself to tip against the swannies....I guess that is just me...Originally posted by Agent 86
True. I owe him. I tipped Geelong when I heard ND wasn't playing.
By the way do you have pictures of Nick Davis on your wall or in an album....cos @@@@ me you seem to be in love with this ONE player, not the 42 odd that make up the TEAM and CLUB.Comment

He's coached very well but he's no genius or miracle worker.
In a number of ways he's been very lucky, which the Swans probably needed if they were to ever capture a flag.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Geelong have cost me this year (I'd only got them right 9 times until yesterday - 10 now).
I usually tip Swannies (including vs WC at Subi - thought I had that one). Tipping's a lot like coaching - pick the ones you think are gonna win/win you the game, not your favourites.
I'm not in love, so don't forget it... besides, I'M not the one singling this one player out.Comment

I was leading my footy tipping comp with 112 coming into this weekend's games. Our first prize is $1,500.
And guess what I tipped Geelong.
When you sit down and look at all the factors, it all pointed to a Geelong win.
* They were at home
* Their season was still on the line
* They copped a belting in the media this week
* Their form line was WLWL, so they were due
* We were on the road for the second week in a row
* We won a vital game the week before
I know people get knarky about losing games, but in all honesty yesterday really did pan out as expected.

Never knew Davis to be a great one for delivery great ball to other forwards or creating in the forward 50? Scoring goa;s yeah, creating them? Nah.Originally posted by NMWBloods

Davis is just about the most accurate kick in our side for hitting targets. As for Inside 50s, he's 7th in the team.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

People usually only see what they expect to see. Davis' delivery from the middle is often sublime. He and Malceski are the only two players we have who can place a kick in front of a player moving away from them. Why else would you play Davis through the midfield?Originally posted by Eala ?ireann
