I can't believe we are sending out blokes who are injured when a 100% fit and in form Nick Davis was running around in Canberra.

Agree. It looks like alot of double speak from Roos fairly regularly, treating some readers (like myself) like an idiot.

What exactly is this/are these mistakes that Roos has made? In particular resulting in the Cats duffing us? The players delivered the ball badly all day, what can Roos do as a manager to get them to hit targets!?!

What a crock. I think people have a knife to grind with Roos in here. The players played shocking footy, that's it.

Who are these managers who blame themselves anyway? I can't think of a time when Sheedy has said, 'we lost and I take the blame' or Lethal or Pagan etc etc etc

          This is bull.

I'm not a Roos worshipper at all, but I think people are being a bit ridiculous blaming that loss on 1)Roos' mangement or 2) the absence of Davis. It's simplistic and smacks of personal resentment.

If it's true that players are playing while not fully fit then clearly Roos isn't giving us the best chance of winning.

It's a matter of fact that Davo is now back to full fitness and should have played if others were not fit.

So why not say that? Why waffle on about playing healthier teams?

If you select people who habitually miss targets that's what you'll get - @@@@@ football.

So we lost to Geelong. Big WOOP. We played @@@@.... I agree....better now than in three weeks time.... We have two very very winnable games.....Brissie and Carlton...that should see us sew up third and a match up with Adelaide....then its down to business.
God if every time a team lost their supporters threw up this amount of crap, the club would be better off abusing the fair weather supporters.
We are not going to win 100% of the team. Accept it and stop looking for scapegoats.
Every team have their ups and downs.... we had a down. Like Roos said...better now than later

Thanks for that - but I've seen us lose enough times to be able to deal with it. This is not about that.

People need to stop thinking "don't worry about the loss, we'll still finish top 4".

We are now relying on other results going our way instead of having our destiny in our own hands.

If Melbourne beat the Roos, then we are 5th.

We will be relying on Freo losing to West Coast (no certainty) and Melbourne losing to the Crows (given Adelaide's current form, also no guarantee).

How about better not at all!

We have two very very winnable games.....Brissie and Carlton...
We've dropped winnable games before - that's what makes us an infuriating team to watch at times.

that should see us sew up third and a match up with Adelaide....then its down to business.
Firstly, winning those two games won't "sew up third". If Melbourne win today we are fifth and hence we need the sides above us to drop a game. Secondly, it is still most likely third will play West Coast.

God if every time a team lost their supporters threw up this amount of crap, the club would be better off abusing the fair weather supporters.
How does complaining about a loss make people "fair weather supporters"?

Who suggested we should win 100% of the time?

Oh pardon me, but who says those games are a given thing. I'm sure if not Brisbane, but Carlton will definitely not just lay down and play dad so that the Swans can string another win. Those teams are not afraid of us anymore and they will definitely make sure that our run towards finals won't be easy. And they way we played yesterday it doesn't give me any confidence in finals success.

It's when you are relying on other teams to lose to teams outside the 8 it is an issue.

While Adelaides form has been below par recently, they will be strong faviourites to beat Melbourne at home. Even the game down at Geelong will be hard for Melbourne.

As for Freo, once again in great form but they are playing West Coast who are now on top and raging premiership favourites in front of their home crowd (West Coast home game, Freo have never won in front of a WC home crowd).

So yes, under all probability we will still finish 3rd if we get the job done against Brisbane & Carlton.
