If Laidlaw can keep developing at the rate he is going atm he will be able to fill Tadhg's role. Don't discount Dempster either....we still haven't seen this man been given a chance to attack.

I hope it's not true, but it will be good news for little Willo, if it is.
Not because little Willo would ever take a Tadhg role, but survival on a team list is a numbers game. Although he should take the opportunity to change his first name so that it's spelt Joshau, and pronounced 'Joe'. It's all about market differentiation.
Could only further improve Jon Simpkin's already pretty handy chances of getting promoted, as well.Comment

Bugger. It was always going to be sad to see Tadhg go back to Ireland when it happened, and it looks like it's going to happen sooner rather than later. A great player for us over the last few years, I wish him all the best in pursuing his dream in Ireland. He will be missed, but hey, life goes on. It opens up another spot on the list now, so should be some added incentive for the players in the ressies to impress at the back end of the ACTAFL season.Comment

He's been brilliant. He's made a pretty good name for himself ... being an import and all.
Well, if he wanted to move on, and his contract was up, you couldn't stop him. I think he'd probably like to get a few years of gaelic (?) footy up before his body gives out.
It would be a pity to lose him.
At least he wouldn't be going to another aussie team.
Some consolation.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I suppose the club's investment was paid off with a premiership, however we will be losing a player who is now in his prime with no compensation by way of a trade or draft picks. That is disappointing but I guess there's nothing we can do about it."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

I would like to see Dempster take over his role, he has the ability to succed in that area of running off half back & moving the ball through the middle. Not only is Dempster's speed exciting, his kick on the run is usually a beauty.
The one he kicked last saturday against the lions from about 50 out was awesome.Forget about Hall, it's all about BradshawComment
