Strange as this may seem it could explain why he didnt play in the Reserves on the weekend

Would also strongly imply that Spida is on his way

And it does make it a little easier to find the three players we MUST drop off our list - Willo, Chambers and ????

            Yep.

The requirement is that a minimum of 3 players have to be drafted onto the senior list.

Doesn't matter how you get there. You just need no more than 35 on your senior list at the time of the draft. You can choose to have a veteran (or two) as an 'outside of the list' player, so: yes.

There is almost invariably weird s*** goin' on when a player isn't listed as injured anywhere, and doesn't play for the club on repeated occasions. Not that I'd reach definite conclusions based on the meagre evidence so far (see the 'Tadhg is definitely going' stories).

The Spida stories published today both trot out the "Chambers is playing in the Swans seconds" line when, of course, he isn't. How hard is it to get the facts right? (Unless you're Play School Piers of course; it's pretty much impossible for that poor chap.)

Good point ROK re the quitting/retirement conundrum. Powell certainly 'quit footy', whereas Heath James, by universal acclaim, had earnt the right to 'retire'. Chambers would be close to the barbed wire fence dividing the two paddocks at the moment.

I've got to say that I feel sorry for Chambers if true as I never like anyone to come to the bloods and fail. However I never liked the trade in the first place and there was probably a fair chance that the cats would have delisted him anyway

From a list management point of view it's great for us, especially if the media reports (dubious imo) of a 3 year deal were true.

It will make delisting time that little bit easier, we won't have a passenger on the list for another season, and big earl may get a chance if doyle or jolly go down

We are yet to see any confirmation of this 'retirement' anywhere.

Can I suggest a suspension be introduced for anyone who posts false rumours.

The Hall broken hand thread and now Unco's retirement is all getting a bit much.

It is not a false rumour. On the 6 o'clock channel 7 news in melbourne in the sport section they crossed to Craig Hutchinson(?) who said that Everitt had left Hawthorn. He then mentioned the usual - that he had been linked with Sydney as a possible replacement for Paul Chambers who has retired.

I hope the thumb injury isn't too serious, he might need it to get back to Melbourne.

An injury to Jolly or Doyle might give him some passion.

Crazy talk, Doyle AND Jolly go down. Do we use the dynamic Ruck duo of LRT and Ted or do we play SHaw?
