During Lynch's long bomb in the 3rd quarter Davo was the one being shepharded from the ball in the goal square. He is also spending a lot more time in the midfield.

I thought he played OK but dropped a few marcks he should have swallowed.

          That was a given.

As soon as it missed I was far more relieved that it missed everything, than scored a point.
Remember last years QF. Our last goal was scored on a hail Mary kick out (by Davis I think) to the centre square, a couple of bounces and a pass to Schneider and its a goal. Whole thing took less than 30 secs. If that had happened on Sat night, we were gawn.

          So Davis did actually Savis.

No one has mentioned the biggest surprise of the night. Benny Mathews' pass to Davis, actually hitting the target.

Ben Matthews had an absolute shocker, didn't he.
How many frees did he end up by giving away.
I think there were two earlier in the game, and one towards the end.
            Pull ya socks up Benny.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

3 frees against that result in 3 goals (IIRC), but then so did Wirrapanda (2 frees for 2 goals). However the rest of his game was OK, as others have stated.

I shouldn't be so hard on poor Benny ... he's usually pretty consistent.
In that case, Wirrpunda owes us another free and another goal ... I'll call in his tab at the GF (should they make it).

Benny also repeatedly gave to man in a worse position and constantly second to the ball, tried on a few opponents who all had massive impacts whilst opposing him, I have never been a big fan, but on Saturday he was a liability to the side and almost cost the game.
I hear not what you say, for the thunder of who you are.

Davis doesnt look like he's really enjoying it at the moment.

I wonder if he's already decided to quit footy. Imagine this: We are down by a point in the grand final. Nick Davis takes a mark inside 50, the siren goes. Davis turns to Kirk, gives him the finger, and purposely kicks the ball out on the full.
                    The ultimate "up yours".

I dont for a moment think it will happen.

They would need friggin S.E.C.U.R.I.T.Y to get Davis out of the ground alive!!!
