Grant 'Corn Flakes' Thomas sacked as St Kilda coach

Just received info that he has been ousted.

Apparently John Longmire is one of the hot favourites to take over from him.

Anyone know if this is definitely the truth?

If you don't know, why post a title that implies it is true???

He's been exposed for the dud he is.

3 failed finals campaigns sealed his fate.

There should also be some nervous players down at Moorabin although I bet they stick with that hoax Hamill - the most over-rated player in the AFL I reckon.

I would have thought the Saints would go for an experienced coach given their list and where they are at.

Not sure who's available though - Ayres or Thomson maybe?

Heaven help us if the new coach actually gets a ruckman who can tap the ball to their talented midfield !

There are a few around. Ayres, maybe.
Harvey, with Shaw as his back up
                        Cressa perhaps
Brian Royal has been an assistant for years. Came very close for the Richmond job last time. (or was it the Dogs)
                        Barry Mitchell??
Maybe Stewie Loewe. Or perhaps Danny dud spud farmer Frawley.

There are more than a few before they start looking at Longmire & Jonas

Because I got confirmation of it by SMS. That's why.

Gee it's certainly a shock. Not very often you make the finals and then get the sack 4 days later.

Still he is/was a dud coach.

I think Longmire certainly has a chance of getting a senior role. He is very well respected and his name has floated around a few times this year.
