Grant 'Corn Flakes' Thomas sacked as St Kilda coach

I hope they take Gary Ayres!!
Should be some players turned over too....I rekon Jason Blake would fit nicely into our team. Even Troy Schwarze who gets treated like a mouldy turd at moorabbin...

According to reports on 3AW tonight, quite a few players were not happy with the decision and were at Thomas' house at the time 3AW went to air.
There are whisperings that some may nominate for the draft or ask to be traded.
There is also a whisper that the player who left because he and Thomas did not get on at all may now be back on the St. Kilda radar - Spider Everitt.
Nathan Burke denied nothing, nor confirmed anything when interviewed, but did think the Spider issue had merit.
Originally posted by Captain I think Longmire certainly has a chance of getting a senior role. He is very well respected and his name has floated around a few times this year.
A lot of melbourne jurnos are talking up Longmire as the new Saints coach, hope they are wrong.IMO i dont think he would leave a premership team, fingers crossed.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
What makes me laugh is that the journos are saying that it is the shock of the season. Surely common sense would tell them that three years failing to win the flag despite having the "most talented" list in the AFL is a failure.
The only reason I liked him as their coach was that whilst he was there they weren't going to win it.
