    Amazing news ugg.

We would be seemingly screwed if Jolly decided to miss, but not necessarily.

Would Worsfold underestimate Doyle again like he did in the QF and leave out one of his ruckmen? Surely not.

Who was it on here that had "Paul Chambers - B.O.G. - 2006 Grand Final" in their sig a while back? Again, surely not.

One thought could be using Richards and Goodes to support Doyle in the ruck, and bringing in Vogels (yes!!) to play the role Ted's been playing.

It's an unenviable position for Jolly to be in. I would hate to have to make a decision like that. He would feel horrible if the baby didn't arrive, and we lost without him (an option I'd rather not even discuss). But how awesome would it be to win with Doyle as first ruck? It's a huge chance for him to repay the faith put in him!

The above link doesn't work for me, but this one is about the same thing.

I have to say, if Jolly decides to miss, it will make the decision on Everitt easy. I'm sure the Hawks will swap Everitt for Jolly.

And I'm with Reggi. Off season relaxation or no off season relaxation, I don't care. NO UNPROTECTED SEX IN DECEMBER OR EARLY JANUARY!!!

PS. If you get a box of condoms from Kramer, no sex at all please!

We're screwed. If Jolly doesn't play the Swans can kiss b2b premiership good bye. I still remember a similar situation last year when Saverio Rocca was late for the finals game against Port Adelaide at TD and the Roos were thumped at that game. He was returning from the hospital, where his wife was giving a child birth. It was a distraction they didn't need it.
I know players are just human and they have their own private life, but playing in GF doesn't come around every year. It's going to be an interesting dilemma for him. If the Swans lose because he wasn't playing how is that going to be percieved by the public? Favourably?

Always the optimist. Didn't you say we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves?

If had a strong second ruckman that can counteract Cox, I wouldn't be so worried. We don't have Ball and Doyle wouldn't be able to survive the whole game playing on Cox alone. So, any other suggestions from your magic ball?

I am sorry, but this is the one game you have to play.

I don't have children so I probably have no right to comment, but surely when you are paid a few hundred thousand a year, a salary that will give that child a headstart many other children don't have, the obligation is to the team, club and fans that enable that salary and lifestyle? We simply aren't talking about a run of the mill match here...

I can't even express how angry I would be if he misses this game.

Any doctors around? maybe we can induce the baby on Thursday morning? haha

I totally agree with Damien. This isnt just another home and away game. he would be letting down the team, the entire club and almost every Swans supporter in the country if he didnt play. Surely he can get another family member to fill in for him for a few hours on Saturday afternoon if need be. He doesnt need to get to the MCG til early Sat arvo and he can leave as soon as the game is over.

I think it's a bit of sensationalist journalism, playing up the 2 weeks early thing to create a story.

Anyway, it's funny how with Tadhg and his decision, people were supportive of family coming first, but in this case not.

                          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

We didnt know whether that would affect the team performance in a GF. We know that without Jolly this Saturday, we're stuffed.

Good grief woman! Haven't you heard of syntocin and a decent epidural! Get that baby induced on Thursday morning, have a nice quick/small baby labour ( I speak from experience here) , get all the 'ooh' 'aahs' over and done with on Thursday night and get Jolly down to Melbourne on Friday morning, in time for the parade.

Oh well, guess he could miss the parade then, but not the GF!!
