I went to JB Hi Fi Bondi Junction on Monday to have a look around and there was already about 50 grand final DVDs in stock. It ruined my day!
Still couldn't watch it. In fact I desperately need some cricket to start."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

If you don't, you'll have to wait till Nov 23 - no domestic cricket on Ch 9 this season.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

There were far far far more 'what ifs' about Saturday than in 96 I reckon.

I seriously doubt we'd have had the leg speed & focus to hold North Melbourne out that year, regardless of our 1st half effort. We were still coming to terms with the fact that we had beaten Essendon like we did the week before. Plus there was the stress of the Dunkley situation as well, which was draining not only to him but to the whole club. North had a far easier win against the Teddies in the Prelim the week before; they had been to the Grannie before, were far more focussed than we were (especially at half time) and just had so much more momentum to carry out the second half with than we did.

That 12 point turn around was THE major turning point in that game. AFL games are usually decided on momentum and belief - not "leg speed".Comment

If Kelly had hit Lockett and the big fella converted, or Kelly had kicked the running goal from the centre bounce, such that we were more than 5 goals in front, I think we would have won '96.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

agreed on that spot up...we lost momentum with that pasage of play and Freeborn the hack capitalised with 3 quick ones to leave us thinking...will we ever win one, feeling that resurfaced in 2003 against Brisbane...but we won one baby!!!!
Let's move on, we're a big show next year (with a ruckman)Staying ahead of the game...Comment

I forgot to mention that I think I saw Satchmo on the teve, when I watched the replay. The camera panned around and stopped on a Swans fan chatting to a younger Eagles fan. I presumed it was Satchmo and her eldest daughter.Bring it on!Comment

After getting lost, drunk and feeling crook all at the same time,i finally found the place i was staying in Melbourne last weekend and the only replay i have seen of the Grand Final is that fourth quarter replayed on Fox Footy when getting home.
Dunno if i want to watch the rest of the game right now.Still feeling a bit down.Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.
Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!Comment

I don't know what everyone is going on about ..I have found since last Sat when Stella hit on my eldest that he is a charming, polite young man. The wedding is planned for next year after the Grand Final.
