Footy season is over. Must be a slow reports day. Anything that has an air of possible, truth or not, will get a run. Same goes for the people on RWO - We seem to run with it.

Personally, I don't care - He won a GF medal last year in his first year with the Swans after coming from second-string ruck at the Demons. He had a great year for us that year in tandem with Ball as he did this year as first-stringer. He chose to see the birth of his child. His choice. In a few years time he will retire. He will no longer be living his footballing dream - but his child and family will be there for him for the rest of his life - His family will love him forever, hopefully.

He plays well in the 2006 GF, we still lose by a point - Nobody hangs @@@@ on the guy - Come a day when some Swans "fan" will put him in a poll of best hack as an option. He owes us nothing but a fair day's work for a fair day's pay - He owes his family the rest of his life.

    Give him a break.

      Agreed!
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

            The Catholic option.

I thought the Catholic option was contact, and then all of a sudden no contact...

Sorry, I think I'm confusing Catholics and Baptists.

Personally, I prefer Baz' bleeding for what he sees as his share of the loss vs Jolly's "well, footy is over, now let's get on with my real life." His approach to it all seems widely divergent from Leo's last year where he regarded the game as part of the best week of his life - not a distraction from it. One stepped up, one didn't.

Maybe you should teach them your way of birth control.

Didn't look to me like thats true. He was chatting with the other guys at the B&F and the afterparty. No one seemed to ignore him.

The GF and child birth are both HUGE life choices for a man, and he shouldn't be ridiculed for making whatever decision he felt comfortable with.
I'm sick of all this "life choices" warm fuzzy stuff that excuses the fact that the best thing he couldve done for his family is ensured his employer got the best out of him at the most crucial time in the season.

I was at the birth of all my three sons, but if for some reason I couldn't get there I would've lived with it. Doesn't change the relationship I have with any of them, and wouldn't have scarred me or them for life.

Jolly is a mummy's boy who should be ashamed of himself. Calls himself a man. Wouldn't know one if it bit him.

I'd sign Spida at 200 miles per hour and dump Jolly to third in line with a pay cut to match. See if his employer matters then.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I was at the birth of both of my children. If I had missed it I would have been devastated. I am glad Darren did what he did, and would be unconcerned if it happened again.

                                You obviously don't employ anyone.

Come on then, everyone. Group hug for Darren and pass the Woodstock soundtrack (that in the past enough for you?).
