It looks like it happened - literally at the last minute. And now it has happened I'm feeling pretty good about it. Spida has been an excellent player though he didn't really look like he was trying this year. We have a way of bringing out the best in a player so he could add a lot to the team for maybe two years.

The weakness we have had since Goodes stopped rucking has now gone. We are a team that thrives on stoppages and now we have one of the best tap ruckmen in the competition.

Also Spida going forward is going to cause massive match up problems for other teams.

It should be fun. Bring it on!

The inclusion of Spida in the team means that we now have a formidable ruck and forward set up. If only the Dawks hadnt been such assholes about Spida coming to Sydney in 2006. Bring on 2007!

Was getting worried there for a while, but once the drunks picked up Gardiner, I thought OK with us getting Spida through the PSD. Welcome Spida to the Red and White. But with 90 seconds to go things must have really got fast -- faster than Ben Cousins staggering away from the booze bus...
As an aside, I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall when Frazer and Gardiner go out for their first @@@@-up of the season...on second thoughts, knowing Mr Ugly's penchant for urinating anywhere but the toilet, it may not be safe on the wall...

The other good thing is the experience he brings that can be passed on to Jolly, Doyle and the others. He has been one of the premier ruckmen in the game for quite a while.
