Talk about an LRT bashing fest.....

If you're going to have a poll, or start a discussion, at least have an option where those that have a differing view can have a say.

Though I'm sure you could get a job consulting for the Liberal party, The poll is crap and not worthy of anyone's vote.

"Lewie was under an injury cloud for a while before as he had a really bad foot and it certainly affected the way he was able to run, but to his credit he went up forward and took a couple of catches and kicked a goal, though I was pretty nervous as he was running in, to be honest."
maybe that explains his poor GF

and yes i was bloody nervous too leo

"Barry also had words of encouragement for Lewis Roberts-Thomson.

In the grand final 'LRT' struggled in defence before moving to the forward line where he managed to boot an important goal."

Does that seem a little condesending to anyone else?

Real LRT is somewhere in between the two GFs. For most of 2006 he did a great job in defense, while never picking up as much possession as he did in the 2005 GF. He struggled at the end of the year, maybe injuries played their part, but it showed he's still learnin the game.

I'm very happy with how he's developed so far and am looking forward to bigger and better things. I agree he should start to back himself to watch the ball rather than his opponent.

It's funny how Teddy has a great GF and he's 'arrived'...LRT has a great GF and it's an anoymoly (but he's still learning, and he's going to be great, blah, blah, blah)...

I think it's funny (but not surprising) any said that. Needs to put together more than a single game.

A ridiculous poll...LRT earned my respect this year until fading late, & it seems injury may have been a factor. If you want to debate something what about the contribution of Leo last year & this (GF & generally)...IMO too often a liability.

I may be in a minority on this site, but I love LRT.

Every team has to have a player in their side who is one step away from either winning or losing a game off his own boot and it's even better when he is over 6 foot tall and looks like the second coming of Jesus Christ with that hair.

LRT is the classic example of this and IMHO is the reason why we all go to the football.

Football is boring if everybody is doing the same thing all the time.

                              The toffs i attend games with refer to him as;

                              'The young Lepitsch'

Used to be a joke, but he is a vital cog in our game now.

He will never be like the original, but the bloke does his job 9/10 times. He is fortunate/unfortunate enough to look like he has no idea, and is always just a bit late but trying to get the ball. Because of that gets away with free kicks many times (ala Silvagni). Plus he is a big athlete, look at his thighs, look at his thighs (shut up Wallsy!)

He is a coaching dream and a supporters nightmare.

Different players, different skills & style, but i remember the same conversation about Leapin Leo a few years back.
