    Membership renewal forms

Geez, I'm having a rough time with the membership department! I got my renewal letter yesterday and that's all there was - two pieces of paper. I paid by installments this year and that's the only option I've been given on my form - to renew exactly the same membership. If I'd like to upgrade or downgrade my membership (and of course I AM downgrading), I need to do so in writing, but I'm given no details on what other memberships are available and what the price differences are. If I would like to pay up front this year, I assume I also have to notify them in writing but the renewal letter says nothing about it. In fact, it doesn't even tell me what I'm getting next year with the membership I would get if I renew as is. Isn't there one less game?

Not to mention I'm currently try to change the re-allocation that they gave me since my seat will be ripped out permanantly and the seats they have offered us aren't that great - no form for that.

Is the membership deparment that strapped for cash? Where are the brochures outlining the details of each membership, maps of the grounds, payment options? Where are the forms to change your membership, seating allocation or sign up a friend?

I'm probably over-reacting, but I think the membership department has dropped the ball a bit on this one.

(If nothing else I feel better now I've had my whinge here and now won't burst into tears when I call them).

Anyone who needs further info on memebership....

    try here.. Memebership info

As for them not sending out heaps of paper and glossy brochures, etc. I think this is a good idea. It's only a waste of paper and yep, drives up the cost (And so many people whine about the cost of membership)....

and Mel... If you need a shoulder to cry on... You come and see Uncle Craig.. he'll look after you....

      Thanks for that Uncle Craig

I had a look at that site yesterday and got thrown off by the 2006 pics on the links and didn't think it had been updated. The pricing still hasn't been.

Still, I was able to figure out that Premiership Membership has gone up $15 from last year. Wonderful, I get the opportunity of paying an extra $15 for one less game!

I'm downgrading to Full Club, but still don't know how much it will cost. *sigh* I really am in a whiney mood today!

        Your more than Welcome...

As for price, may want to check out what the gate prices are going to be this year, no doubt they have gone up as well so you won't be the only one getting slugged a few more bucks!

Whilst I note your problems with seating Mel, and feel for you accordingly, I'm not changing my membership this year, so I'm finding the two page letter a welcome change to all the gloss.
All that gloss costs lots o'money.
It makes it very easy for me to renew for next year.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

This is not of the Bloods ethos. You cannot go backwards only forwards. (unless all forward options are not more than 50m in the clear)

I agree Annie, and it wouldn't be a problem if they hadn't already @@@@@@ me off twice in the past two months and if I wanted the same membership paid in the same way.

I don't need a glossy brochure, but it'd be nice to know what I'm going to get for my money.

My sister has just called me too and is a bit annoyed that she has to write a letter to them by the end of the month to make sure they don't take money out of her account automatically.

Why is it they can assume we all want the same membership that we had last year and just start taking money off us automatically, but they couldn't assume I wanted the Grand Final ticket I had specifically taken Premiership Club membership for? Seems a bit odd to me.

Very easy, we control the membership process. The AFL controls the finals ticketing process.

Therefore you get different ways at looking at things.

Some of the Vic members won't be happy - they now get access *only* to the TS games. I believe they used to be able to choose.

I haven't received mine but my friend, who mails to my address, has. She pays by installments.

                    Has everyone got their letter?

Nope, we haven't got ours yet.

It could only be the instalment payers who have received their letters. Our group pays by instalment and we've all got our renewal letters.

Nat, did you pay by instalment last year?

                          Nope.

.. and yeah, probably just the instalment payers who got their letters.

                          I want mine soon though!

Maybe it's cause the first payment comes out on 15 December ... they probably want the seats/memberships sorted before they start taking payments.
                            Who knows???

Hope you hear from them soon. I hate waiting for my membership details / pack!!
