Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Dad bought me a swans jumper for my 6th birthday, so I've been in the red and white since 1968.

The first AFL game i ever watched was the 1996 preliminary final and i was 7 at the time. Watching it i probably didn't even know who Tony Lockett or Paul Kelly were. Anyway, been supporting them ever since.

I was hooked in 1986 by the Edelsten era, and especially Capper. I was six. Mum (also a Swan - since 1964) bought me a membership in 1988 and I have been ever since.
However, my grandfather is a Swan since 1934 and if I was older I would have been a Swan longer.

So can I vote for No.1?

Me im a 4th generation bloods supporter and so my kids are the 5th and they love the swans. Both have been able to sing the swans song since they were about 2.5.I've been brain washing them ever since they were born.My little girl went to her first match at the SCG in 2001 when she was 5 months old we played melbourne and we lost My little boy went to his first game when he was about 6 weeks old at Telstra dome from memory(dodgy) i think we won.

Moved to Melbourne the next year and took out a Melbourne based supporters membership which I have maintained ever since.
Thats about as romantic as Carlton supporters get.

Bloody hell you missed the most obvious demographic.

Melbourne based supporters who live in Melbourne but not in the vicinity of Lake Oval.

Clayton, Noble Park, Springvale and Oakleigh (SE Suburbs)were chocker block with bloods supporters who went every week. This was our metro zone and players such as the Morwoods, Ryhs Jones, Foschini and Capper and a host of others came from the area.

I had a rather firey fling with the ex Vice-president of the Fitzroy Cheer Squad (Yes, we ALL inter-breed, you know! ). He said the Swans should never have left South Melbourne. I nearly hit him. I then said that Fitzroy should have been moved to Brisbane in 1986; he nearly hit me.

Fitzroy went under with the remains sent up to Brisbane about 3 weeks after that. We now don't speak at all.

Because he knows I was right all along.

First game I went to see was Sth vs Nth at VFL Park in 1977 as a 5 year old. Never left from then. Just so happy that we relocated to Sydney when we did, otherwise we'd be buried like Fitzroy.

In 1996,whilst my beloved Roosters were having their best season in a decade and charging thru the year!Rugby League was in the middle of a corporate war!A war that would change the game forever!

At the same time whilst the Roosters were winning games with their new leader,Mr Brad Fittler and delighting big crowds at the SFS(Aussie Stadium),next door at the SCG!.....a new force was emerging!

That force led by Lockett,Kelly,Roos!.They were the ugly ducklings of the AFL turning into the Mighty Sydney Swans!!!

They were kicking ar5e and taking names!Packing out the SCG and making a Swans game-the hottest ticket in town!

I couldn't get one of these hot tickets!ALL THE OTHER BANDWAGONERS!!!

i came to my first game in 1997 and have never looked back!
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

Followed them intermittently from 1992, start watching them more seriously 1995 and joined the club in 1996 after their great win over Brisbane Bears.
