Born and bred in Adelaide, so was a mad crow supporter, but after coming up to Sydney and seeing just how @@@@ the swans were during the 94 season, I said if a national competition was to florish, then people needed to get behind the swanies.
That and the need to find a great excuse to drink beer and get totally drunk, which helped a lot barracking for the swans in those barren years.
Best memory; after the 96 prel; everyone storming the ground, and of course the 05 GF.
So many beers, so many memories.doof-doofComment

So is 85 votes enough of a sample to extrapolate some results???The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

I think no would be the answer. Better a smaller, more loyal supporter base, than a fickle one.doof-doofComment

I was just happy we made it after the terrible (read usual) start to the season.
The best thing for me now is that my little brother arrived from Perth last Wednesday all decked out in his quokkers gear (they've moved back to Sydney) ... he saw my swans scarf hanging of the chandelier (sp?) and proceeded to have a spack attack. Ha ha sucked in quokkers. We beat youse - get over it. Even better, his 4yo son knows all the words to cheer cheer. His kindy teacher is a swanette. We've spent two nights singing loud and proud. The kid's gunna follow the swans. Nuff said.
Hilarious.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Does anyone else think the votes for ROK would overtake the Melbourne votes if left for long enough....???The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment
