I heard the arresting officer was a Swans Supporter

Sorry but too much space has been devoted to this. He did something most of us are guilty of. Maybe he was weaving down the street in danger of falling into the river and the coppers stopped him for his own protection. Maybe he was asleep on a bench and the coppers took him to lock up for his own protection.

On the issue of being a role model or not. I think he is, but I also think the issue of little kiddies lives being ruined by it lies in the hands of the media and not Ben. The media beat it up as much as they can to sell papers. If it wasn't reported by the media we'd be none the wiser.

Too right Tina, Love Cousins or hate him , the fact is that the majority of us here on this board (those over 18 of course) have gone out done the same thing with work colleagues and havent been arrested - although in some cases perhaps some of us should have been I'm no Cousins fan, not by a long shot, but here is a bloke who is going to be hounded by the media about his after hours activities until the day he retires from senior football. Unless of course he comes to play in Sydney and then he will go into the Betty Roos Clinic for rehab and will become the model citizen!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Seriously, from what my spies tell me in WA Ben Cousins is a particularly nasty piece of work in more ways than one, but gets away with things because he is Ben Cousins.

At least Cousins was drunk when making a fool of himself, what is your excuse?

According to Sports Tonight, no action was taken by the West Coast Wankers against Cousins. They claim that the scrutiny of the public of his actions is punishment enough.

Interesting, makes all the hysterical nonsense on here look a bit stupid.

So he was just drunk then , not a murderer !

Sitting in the drunk tank was punishment enough according to the Melbourne Magistrate, and the unsavoury comments made about him by the general footy public was punishment enough (as deemed by the Budgies football club).

Can we do some more crucifying?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
