Is there going to evidence that will arise suggesting that infact he wasn't drunk in a public place?

      No.

Back to more important things ... SPECULATION ....

Have the toasters made comment yet? I've checked their website, nothing on that.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

At the moment though, that's all we have to go on. He was arrested for being drunk in a public place.. i can't see how those charges could be dropped..
You know nothing but he was locked up for a few hours and let go. They do that to people drunk late at night and often don't lay charges.

              No.
He was charged with being drunk in a public place and given four hours to sober up in the Melbourne Custody Centre before being released after 8.30am.

              ...

The Brownlow medallist will not be fined or have to appear in court.

Fair enough, i don't know if he did have charges laid againest him. But still, being arrested IN THIS CASE does warrant him being guilty of the crime of being drunk in a public place. There's no two ways about it.

.. and if you want to call me an idiot for basically calling Cousins a moron, then go right ahead.

But you were implying that he must have been doing more than just being drunk in a public place.

I wasn't implying that he was doing MORE than just being drunk in a public place, but moreso that him being drunk and the way he was acting due to being drunk was why the attention was brought to him in the first place, not the fact that he is Ben Cousins.

A police source said Cousins was "absolutely legless" when found and had no idea where he was.

                      ... I've been like that.
I still don't know how I got home from the Sydney WC game at Telstra on the night that they called the kiddy footy off cause there was bad lightening. Hell, I can't even remember the rain (although I do remember winning)!!
I had corporate tickets for that game and the wine served at TS is awfully cheap and nasty.

I believe you, but only because you used quotation marks to describe destructive dan.

No-one who knows him (or of him) would disrespect him so.

Who am I to judge anyhow? I didnt capitalise - as if he's not a proper noun! Ha!

I would do that, but it would be blocked in no time, what with all the ladies trying to crack on all the time.
