Yes, as I've already stated, it happens.

The fact is, he did something wrong, not once but twice. He got caught, not once but twice. You think he would have learnt his lesson by now...
What are you talking about? The first time he was drink driving...fair enough. But this time, he was drunk in public. Thats it. You dont know the details. So how can you say he did something wrong and got caught out.

If going out and getting drunk is so wrong, then throw me in jail and through away the keys!

The difference is that he is a public figure, therefore recognised by strangers in public and people often make trouble for sports stars.

Open up your eyes and take a look at the big picture.

Well if you want to think Ben Cousins is the victim here and that he was simply out having a few drinks and got arrested for just walking down Southbank.. then be my guest. I think the guy is an idiot. Sure, there's a chance he was doing nothing except being drunk in a public place and that who he is got him attracted to by the police, but there's also a chance that it isn't the case and that he was acting like a tool, which isn't exactly something that he isn't known for.

Yes, that could very well so be the case. But from his history, maybe you can join the dots and think that maybe he was acting like a moron who deserved to be arrested, regardless of who he is.

Who taught the kiddies to debate?
                Nat's pretty good at it!!

I agree 100% Nat, the guy is an idiot.

I honestly think he may have done something a little more than "just being drunk". Unless the copper him/herself is a total tool/beyatch, they tend to leave people alone who are just drunk.

In NSW the fine is drunk & disorderly - as far as I know. I've never been booked for either.

Maybe he was disorderly (and they're just not telling us how much)??
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Hence my point about him setting fire to cafes. He could have been a @@@@head, but it hardly matters considering who he is.

P.S. I dont care for joining dots.

We don't know of any history of setting fires to cafes though, or anything even like it.

I don't get your other point though? "He could have been a @@@@head, but it hardly matters considering who he is"?

I don't care for joining the dots either, no when i already know he's a moron.

He has previously only ever been charged with a traffic infringement.

So he didn't get charged with leaving his car with his girlfriend on the highway and running away from the police?
