Yep I agree. We have to go one better this year whilst we have the personnel. I was disappointed last year but not shattered, but to not win again when we have the ability and opportunity would be devastating.

Whatever makes you feel better I guess.

Not turning up for half of the most important game of the year does make one's chest swell with pride.

      Embracing mediocrity.
Playing drunk and having a good giggle certainly worked for our touch-footy team! We made the granny and won!! Go figure.

What I'm saying is that whilst I love the swans and I love my footy ... there really are more important things in life.

No, I wasn't upset at losing the grand final. They played well (in the second half at least) and lost. Oh well, yes, they'd better take it up a step this year!!! As the heading to this thread says .... the bulldust begins. Blah, blah, blah.

All the clubs stand around at this time and say "we've got to go up a step this year" ... the rugby clubs, the soccor clubs, the AFL clubs, the cricket clubs, the softball clubs, the baseball clubs, the basketball clubs, etc.

I just can't understand why people are still in tears over losing the grand final. It's not like we can call everyone back to play it again. Accept we lost it, and get on with this season.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Not a real fan. Doesn't it eat away inside you that had they turned up in the first half they would have won the flag? I'm sure every player feels the same way.

Perhaps you should ask Barry Hall that question?

I assure you that every Swans fan in Western Australia is still suffering.

Yes, the value of hindsight says they should have played better in the first half ... pity you can't turn back time, eh? It doesn't eat away my insides.

Thanks, next time I see Barry, I'll ask him why he's such a big girls blouse. Besides, I never asked Barry that question, I was asking you lot.

Just as much as every budgie fan in New South Wales suffered the year before.
