Have to agree with Nico about Beaven...he strikes me as one of those players who just don't have anything special & you wonder how they ever get picked...somehow did well in rookie year & keeps getting picked on the memory...it sure faded for me a while ago.

I think we all agree that he needs to lift his game to maintain his place in another Swans Premiership team.....

More importantly, it seems he does as well.....

I think that might be half his problem. Every bit of media fluff ever published about him mentions how much he thinks he has to improve. I suspect he has almost talked himself out of believing he belongs at the top level since his first break-out season.

Whether he really belongs, who knows, but in his first season he played without a worry in the world and was very effective.

He is a stark contrast to someone like Schneider, who has always played with a high level of apparent confidence and has thus kicked on to become a very decent player after an initial season not unlike Bevan's.

Hmmmm... Let's hope he doesn't follow Scneider's path too closely and start turning over the ball and forgetting how to kick and mark like he has in th elast few games of 06..........

But yes, you're right. A very similar story on both of them. Came from no where and looked the good from the get go only to fade a little. Here's hoping that Bevan can pull it together and hopefully inspire the Schneiderman as well!

Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Swantastic...I think Reigning Premier misunderstood Liz a little...there is no comparison apart from their good start...one has gone "south" & the other "north".
Having said that, we need the likes of Schneider to go further / be more consistent, if we are to get another premiership soon.
