Hunter has put his hand up to play up forward with big Lurch. On the good side, Michael Braun missed half of training with leg soreness. Ben Cousins(suspended) and Daniel Chick didn`t even roll up. Daniel Kerr just walked laps and sat out the Doggies game. Looks like he`s got a groin problem and has asthma.
All in all, looks good!!Even Santa follows the Swannies.Comment

It brings the best out of us and when we play at our best there are not too many teams that can beat us.

A lot has been said about how close the last five games between Sydney & West Coast have been (total winning margin - 12 points) and how this may continue and it may.
However, it should be noted that of the last 5 game none have been in Sydney. Three have been at Subi and two at the MCG. The last two games played in Sydney have resulted in much larger Sydney wins:
2005 - R17 @ SCG by 21 (13.10:88 to 9.13:67)
2004 - 1st Final @ Telstra by 41 (11.9:75 to 4.10:34)
Given the turmoil in Perth, the home ground historical advantage and Sydney's "improved" early season form - IMO points to a potential stong win.
Cheers

Last win by West Coast over Sydney in Sydney was Round 9, 1999.
11.15:81 to 14.10:94 souce
This is a fair while, but West Coast did not play home and away games in Sydney in 2002 or 2004.
573v30 beat me to it.
Cheers

Justice is on the money. I have been trumpeting the same to anybody who would listen for months now.
This rivalry over the past 2 years has been built on 3 games at Subi and 2 GF's.
The fact is, as hard as they are to beat at home, they are fair dinkum spastics away from home. We have been their equal at Subi as well as the MCG on GF day.
I don't believe GF's offer the same 'home ground' advantage/disadvantage as normal games. The whole GF week shenanigans etc. and enormous pressure associated with the game almost neutralises home ground advantage IMHO.
In Sydney, we will pump'em.
I'm more worried about the following week away to Richmond. Make no bones about it, our boys have been looking forward to this rematch since it was common knowledge that Rd 1 would be a GF rematch since the week after the GF.
Not that Richmond are any good, but they are young, will be enthusiastic being Rd 2 and all and if we slacken off a tad, we will be in trouble.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
