A great game from Spida, one of the best if not the best yesterday.

Did anyone else think it was weird when they sung the song with Spida in the middle? Not weird in a bad way, more weird in that for most of his career Spida has always heartily belted out other teams songs with the same vigour, and now he had to take on a new anthem.

I'm pretty sure that the tradition is to have a player stand in the middle of the circle for their first senior match victory as a Swan.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Maybe it is time someone like Tadhg was given a go in the centre. How much easier would it be for the forwards if we could burst out from the centre and get it down to them real quick.
My thoughts exactly, Peter has a brilliant footy brain and if you have the nouse to go with him, you will do well. There were times at the MCG where I thought that our boys didn't feel they deserved the silver service and preferred the truck-stop delivery Sydney has become used to over the years. I say, "BOYS, GET ON YOUR BIKE AND ENJOY THE 5 STAR STUFF, MAKE GOOD USE OF IT".

          Spida proving his worth

When the game was on the line against Richmond at the MCG, Peter Everitt stood tall.

Great effort from the big man, to believe his 32 & still pulling out BOG's is very reassuring for us.

            Very good forward option too.

Yeah, I realise that. I just thought it a little strange...

His marking and positioning to get into a marking position was well anticipated yesterday, exp. when the tiges hit the front.

I was laughing at his gawkiness yesterday as well Scott. Arms and legs going everywhere. He played a great game. The title of best mark would be contested by Teddy though as he was very good in that department yesterday as well. When it went near him or both of them in fact you could feel sure that they would mark it. memories of Dunkley.

Blakey was in there with him.

Have always been impressed with Spida as a footballer, and this week was great to see him BOG for the Swans.
