Did I do that?
Arguments seem to have gone a little askew - I was also at the game and thought that Leo put in a good performance.
For that matter thought that our all time favourite Mathews also performed quite admirably.Comment

If Leo stuffs up in the backline then the opposisito have a set shot from close to goal, if Baz gives away a free this usually won't happen as I don't think I have seen Baz try it from full back.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

wasn't meant to be aggressive just asking the question
I agree it is a little more dangerous at one end compared to the other. Baz stuffing up ,may not always result in a goal for the opposition, but isn't this also the same with Leo?Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

But it is more likely a LB stuff up will result in an opposition goal than a BH stuff up.
I think possessions for backline players can be quite misleading these days too.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

A BH stuff up could lead to a result like last year's GF as opposed to a saving LB mark that won us the 2005 GF.Comment

The point is, not only Leo Barry stuffs up. It can happen at the other end, like we saw with Hall in last years GF. Had Hall kicked what he normally eats for breakfast, we would have won. Barry could have stuffed up his mark in the 2005 GF, but didn't. My point is no less pointless than most of the posts in here....Comment

The point of the discussion was that a single error in the backline is normally more costly than a single error in the forward line.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

The reality is with teams transitioning into defence, any stuffing around with the ball in the back line means our forwards are going to deal with greater numbers.
Where do Halls triple teams come from?I will be a member again when I return.Comment

A single error in the backline may cost 1 or 6 points. A single error in the forward line may cost 5 or 6 points.
Either way, the impact on the margin is pretty much the same. And that is all that counts.Comment
