Your memory serves you well Xie Shan. Paul Chambers was around the #20 mark about 10 or so rounds in. He finished off the season 28th overall for total HOs (122 HOs and 33 disposals from 12 games ). His average was 10.2 HOs per game, which isn't overly awful considering I don't recall him getting a great amount of time on the ground in those games.

Totally agree. Couldn't see us winning the Premiership in 2005 without him. And despite his poor showing in the Grannie last year, we wouldn't have even gone close to making it that far without him last year.

So that's a flying start to his career at the Swans from where I'm sitting.

Don't know about workload taking its toll, but in all the discussion about babies and where his head was in GF week, it has got a bit lost that he badly dislocated a finger a couple of days before the qualifying final at Subiaco and that must have had some impact on his performance over those three finals games. Must be pretty hard to protect the hand in ruck contests and even if he was playing with an injection to help the soreness, it is likely to have affected his confidence.

Last week I thought he should have been playing in the ressies. This week I was eating my words, I had him in my best, and that mark he took in the first....pity he didn't convert it for full points.

I think you're right on both counts there.

At least if he does more around the ground he can take some marks or compete in marking contests. Hopefully he'll learn to handball more.

I thought his disposal last week was very good for a bigman. He linked well through the middle with handball and showed decent skills by foot, regularly hitting players on the chest with short but rapid fire kicks.

Wasn't as good today, agreed, but he's still probably a bit rusty, notwithstanding last week's performance.
