Adam Goodes is a really hated person by a lot of opposition supporters. On Big Footy not only tonight on his striking case, but they constantly get into him for no good reason. On SEN tonight it has just been a full on tirade.

I dont get it. I suspect some of it is frustration in their club's inability to contain him. Hopefully now he can get his head together and get his game into order.

Yeah that is a very weird one - I could understand hating on Baz or West Coast fans hating Magic for example, but don't really understand any reason opposition supporters have to hate on Goodsey other than jealousy.

The impression that I get is that they are very bitter he has won 2 Brownlow medals while players they perceive to be more deserving e.g. Scott West last year missed out.

Agree there Nico i lot of supporters i know of other clubs hate him with a passion.A lot of them say the only reason he won the brownlows was that he is aboriginal,and the only reason we won in "05" was that the AFL needed a premership team from NSW to make the dream complete.

We've had some pretty good contested charges in recent years. Most have been successful. Dunkley (delayed case), Plugger, Hall, Goodes, just to name a few.

I couldn't really give a toss what opposition supporters have to say about Goodes. I'm glad he's off and I don't think he was a chance to win the Brownlow this year anyway.
