HELICOPTERS, pink sports cars, private ownership, losing streaks and winning sequences. The Swans have had it all in their 25 years in Sydney, even a premiership in 2005, but a simple selection in this week's team should earn a place among all those quirky and significant pieces of history.
    Oh please

Maybe a bit melodramatic but its rare for the Swans to debut youngsters so young - Jack is only 19 - compared with the likes of Malceski and Schmidt who had to wait much longer. They certainly got good headlines out of it but lets hope the headlines are for all the right reasons on Sunday. I'm sure they will be and Jack will equip himself well. I also hope Moore does still play becuase he deserves an extended run.

I suppose our current injury situation is unique compared to recent seasons.

It would be interesting to see who out of our last 10 debutants were the youngest... (HINT: can someone else please compile the list ). I don't think there would be too many under 20.

I think it is a bit of a stretch to think that this selection has anything at all to do with publicity. The publicity was always going to be a by-product of selecting him ever. He was the most publicised rookie listing in the history of Sydney, it just goes with the territory.

It would happen before a home game if it was for that, I am no blind Paul Roos supporter, but I don't think there is a hope in hell we would make a selection for publicity.
