Let's play ...rate the worst 4 coaches

    My picks....
Numero uno.....Coach Wallace, how long will his hollow facade of,"rebuilding stage" hold up ???
No.2.....Coach Pagan...A one trick pony, with no duck.
No.3.....Coach Eade...If only he would use his vast quantities of bitterness for good...not evil.
No.4....Coach Sheedy....They stopped listening a long time ago.

        1. Wallace - the laughing stock of the AFL along with the Tigers.
        2. Daniher - 10 years of little achievement with the Dees, no surprises they're struggling.
        3. Pagan - he's lucky that his team isn't at the bottom of the ladder again.
        4. Sheedy - 27 seasons of fighting Martians, marshmallows and Nuff Nuffs, 'nuff said.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

          i hate maltmouth.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

            1. Daniher - should have done more with the good cattle he has had
            2. Worsfold - this is probably premature, but how many flags would the Weagles have won under a coach like Roos?

You're kidding aren't you?? With the age and quality of West Coast's list they could be set for a run like Brisbane. Worsfold will be coach at the Weagles for 10+ years... Worsfold seems like a very strange selection to be making.

As for Pagan & Sheedy, at least respect their longevity and success over the long term. They haven't won flags because they can't coach.

Just because Laidley & Clarkson have won a few games doesn't make them superior coaches to Sheedy.

In my opinion, coaches like Connelly and Thompson have far more to prove or they'll be out on their ears.

Pagan - Overated and is being found out big time
Daniher - Should have at least made a GF in the last 10yrs.
Wallace - Never got the best out of his team
Thompson - Needs to concentrate on the players, not the other distractions...

And a special mention to Malthouse. Why he is rated so highly I'll never know.

                      In no particular order
                      Connelly
                      Wallace
                      Thompson
                      Malthouse

All four have had teams in the past decade that should have won flags but haven't.

I think he means, the list has done more for Worsfold, than Worsfold has done for the list.

Yeah, something like that. I was just thinking that any half decent coach could do what he has done, in my lowly opinion.
As I said I may be a little premature.

if you had any clue about football you would not make this comment. the man is a super coach. his record speaks for its self. got west coast to finals in EVERY single one of his 10 years at the club. goes to the pies and takes them to 2 GFs and currently has them up and running, which is a fair effort considering most had them in the bottom 8.

mick does know how to get the most out of his players, case(s) in point: lockyer, swan, both shaws, presti and o'bree... are these players extremely talented? no, but they are all bloody good handy players who give their all for the pies.

the comment i made about you being an idiot and not knowing a thing about AFL is further emphasized by your comment on daniher...oh wait you probably weren't a supporter wayyyy back in 2000

im not sure about the comments regarding worsfold. he seems to have gotten the most out of his players. guys like selwood, nicoski, priddis, hunter, glass, lynch, cox, brett jones etc were never the biggest names in the game when it came to potential when these guys were starting out... but looking at that list it seems that worsfold has instilled confidence in the players and their game style. and for that you must applaud his effort.

also the fact he (worsfold) was a west coast champion and an afl champion who is held in the highest regard at west coast would make the players respect him (much the same with roosey).
