Schmidt's disposal (apart from the one clanger) was very good tonight I thought. He setup two goals.

I left before the siren and got on the train ahead of the 64,000 person crush.

We were beaten by a superior side tonight. Collingwood were excellent and are serious flag challengers.
We need to sort our midfield out. There is nothing wrong with Hall - the fact that opposition teams can afford to play 2 or 3 opponents on him actually says more about the rest of our forward line right now that it does about Hall.
I don't agree, I don't actually think we weren't beaten by a superior side. This game does nothing to prove or discount Collingwood's 2007 flag credentials.

The Swans were very very ordinary, Collingwood were good, but we really beat ourselves. Collingwood gave us every opporuntity to respond and we couldn't.

I have no positives from this game, the margin flatters us YET AGAIN and I just got soaked walking home from the Train Station.

Me too, I left at 3/4 time and I've never done that before.

The midfield, woeful this year.Kirk and Ablett are consistent contributers but the rest of them don't get enough pill.Their stats look alright some weeks(not this) but most of them are obtained in the last quarter or "junk"time. You look at other teams and you will see their midfielders following the play, our are usually chipping the ball around.

The train came and we no longer had to listen to that awful CityRail lady making her excruciatingly unfunny remarks at OL station.

The guard on the platform told me she's married . I asked him to pass my commiserations to her husband.

                  1. I didn't go up to Sydney for the game.
                  2. Won't have to waste any more money going up to Sydney for any more games (including finals) this year.
                  3. Dont' have to waste petrol and time going down to geelong next week. (although I have wasted $66 on 3 seats in the Swans allocation - anyone wanting to buy them please contact me - I will even throw in the 2007 membership cards that you also need to get into the ground).
                  4. Don't have to waste money on the Premiership club next year.
                  5. Maybe we'll finally see some new blood - our long term future is seriously being hindered by no new players being introduced.
                  6. less worries once finals are out of the equation. If you have no expectations you are not disappointed.
                  7. We may see a new and more interesting gameplan/style of play now our current one is no longer working as it has been worked out.

Ditto on leaving .. I commented to my seatmates that I'd give 'em til midway through the third to make me love them again, but it wasn't to be.

That, and driving out to the ground (for the very first time) made the decision a lot easier - avoiding also having to sit with any ooposition ferals on that long train ride home. Hell, I might have joined 'em in their club song - we were that bad.

The $15 dollars for the park was money well spent to "stop the pain".

We're in real trouble. The cracks are widening now - unfortunately.

The Club provided me with free beer and dinner. I would have preferred a win.

However I'm not one to scoff at free beer.

Also the incredibly noisy Australia Post clapping sticks are reusable and added to my "annoying swans paraphenalia" collection to drive people crazy at the SCG.

I'm bringing a pin with me to the Freo game. Be warned anyone with a pair of those annoying sticks if you are banging it next to my ear ( you too Erin ). Atmosphere is one thing, incessant painful noise is another.

I wasn't cold, we got a good park right near the exit and Alastair Clarkson who was sitting just behind us has very cute daughters - so that's nice for him!
Never have I left a game early until last night. On the escalators going down I asked people to put up their hand if this was their first time doing so - there were many hands. Hey Boot - bet you never thought you'd hear me saying this!!

Probably Goodes' and ROK's best games for the season.
Bevan kept the dangerous Davis quiet.
My Pies supporting missus was too crook to go to the game so we missed the misery live.
