Of the 2 that I can recall (stats said we had 3), the first was for Brodie Holland delaying the return of the ball when he was on the sidelines. The second was for Licuria driving some Swan into the back coming down from the mark when he was late into the contest. I think they were both there.
The third was when Sydney we're kicking out after a behind and the Pie on the mark (Goldsack I think) walked too close.
ROK and Goodes played well, but their performances were glaring amongst the drivel delivered from the rest of the mids. It really should have been standard efforts from those 2.
Mal and Kirky worked hard and Leo played as desperately as I have ever seen him.
This is not the end of the world or even the end of 2007 but I can't remember when Sydney have actually won a BIG game at Telstra (apart from the Freo PF). It's like they pump the game up and get the biggest crowd of first timers out there just to disappoint them.
As for the positives, well it's made me look for another side to follow when we're ####holed from the finals.
The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of Disappointment

The link between a large Telstra Stadium crowd and a poor Swans performance is really scary. Here it is:
7 biggest crowds at TS: 1 win and 6 losses
12 smallest crowds at TS: 11 wins and 1 loss.
The exceptions were:
big crowd-a win against Fremantle 2006 PF; and
small crowd- a loss against Melbourne 2004 R5.
Reckon the big crowd theory is slightly flawed. Each year the big crowd is the Pies game, but it also coincides with the two week break. This year we had the added distraction of the 25 year celebration. Memo to club - do not give the team a break, the players may think they need a break, but recent history says otherwise. Instead organise a no holds barred scratch match, flog them on the training track in that time and under no circumstances have ANY club celebrations. I'd much prefer to be feeling good about current performances on the field than wallowing in past glory.
Yeh the whole bloody team besides Melcho,Davo and Tiger.I not only wasted an airfare/ticket i also wasted time watching the game on the idiot box as i missed my plane.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
