    Round 16 - vs Eagles

I know Im jumping ahead a week, but I'm wondering whether Roos has aleady put this game down as a loss?

The reason I say this is his comments this week that Hall will definately play this weekend agains Carlton, but may be rested against the Eagles to recover from niggling injury.

I realise Im no coaching genious, but in my mind if Roos was serious about winning the Eagles game wouldnt he be better to rest Hall against lowly ranked Carlton (in a home game we are a odds on to win) then play him in the away game against the Eagles, where we will need all our best players firing to win?

And if that's the case are we likely to see players like LRT, etc coming back for the Eagles game to get match fittness in readiness for the finals?

Maybe you're right, but I assumed it was to do more with the 3.5 hours travel there and back, and the staying in hotels, playing on a big ground etc.

After the Weagles' consecutive losses against heavyweights of the competition in St Kilda and Brisbane, I don't think any team should be going to Subiaco trying for anything less than a win.

Don't be so down on yourself. Everyone's an expert here.

No, I do not think Hall's absence is a sign of us conceding the match as a loss. However, Subi is known as a hard surface with plenty of running required due to its size.

It was either last year or the year before that Buckley was missing every few games because of his hammy and the Perth trip was definitely one he missed. The long travel is not condusive to sound injury management or recovery.

But if we're so confident this week, and he is carrying an injury, let's rest him so we can go to Subiaco full strength.

I noticed he did get some bench time against Freo and the soft ground courtesy of the rain would have been easier on his legs/groin. I'd like to see him rested again this week in order for him to play next week.

The hard ground of Subi is the concern. That's why he may not play in Perth.

I thought this game was a probable loss earlier in the season though now I'm looking forward to a tight game maybe even a win
WCE are having problems at the moment with Judd, Glass carrying injuries no Cousins the only problem is Kerr has struck form
Several other players are out of form R Jones, Lynch, Wirrapunda
Hopefully we can make it 3 losses in a row after Port beat em this weekend
I can't wait to be at the game against WCE and see us serve it up to em!

Only problem is, last year when we played them at Subi and round one this year, they were meant to be "depleted" with injuries etc.

              We still lost.

If Lewis doesn't come in this week then I will be very interested to see if he comes in next for the Eagles game. He needs some time in the seniors to get his AFL level match fitness up, however Roos has previously set a precident that you cannot take players to Subiaco who you aren't certain are fit enough to run out a game; you could probably argue that even just the 1 game in for Lewis would not be sufficient to bring him right up to full match fitness. It will be interesting to see if the rules apply to 1 or to all.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Yeah but they were un-backable favourites in the Qualifying final last year... Who won that game?

The weagles haven't been playing this poorly for a long time. Let's hope Benny doesn't come up, let's hope Juddy re-injures himself this week and let's also hope the Kerr belts someone this week and gets rubbed out.

Isn't Kerr already out for this week?

I guess he'll just have to belt someone off the field then.. i vote Dean Cox or maybe Darren Glass.

Yep, I'll go for that - sounds good! He'd need a chair to thump big Cox though wouldn't he?
