Aside form the two losses this year, our record at Telstra is probably better than the SCG.

Since I have some free time.. our overall record at Telstra is only 5% less than our SCG record. However, when taking such a small sample with Telstra, a win or loss changes that winrate quite dramatically, unlike a a win or loss at the SCG. So, like hammo originally said, "Aside from the two losses this year", our record at Telstra Stadium is actually 13 from 18, which is 72.22222% - a 2% higher overall success rate compared to SCG - FACT.

Lies, damned lies and statistics...

For an accurate analysis you need to look at longterm trends. So here are the facts.

You contend that "our game goes down about two levels" at Telstra Stadium. If that's the case how was our record better at Telstra than the SCG in 2006, and overall since 2002 there is just a 5% difference (had we won 1 of our games this year it would in fact be a higher percentage).

All you have proven is the 2007 Swans have a worse record at Telstra than the SCG. That argument does not stand up to scrutiny in any other year, or indeed over the 6 season period we've been playing there.

Perhaps there are on-off factors at play in 2007. Some possible explanations could be that -

* Our record in night games this year is abysmal and all telstra games are played at night
* Barry Hall playing injured affected the whole team performance
* Swans have generally been poor all year

The other thing an honest statistical appraisal would do is attempt to remove any bias from the argument. Having openly declared that you live just a "One beer walk from gate 3 of the holy ground on game day" it is clear that you would favour the SCG over Telstra.

The inconvenience caused to you by having to leave the Eastern suburbs to watch the Swans is no reason for raising spurious arguments which are quite clearly not backed up by fact.

So your statistics are correct because they suit your proposition, but mine aren't because they don't???

It really does depend on what statistics/trend you look at doesn't it?

The GF discussion was really introduced by yourself, I merely countered it with a set of statistics, which had been previously ignored. Given the way stats have been bandied around here, I think it's more than fair to produce a counter argument via them. But again, small beer. Fine. We're GF chokers if you like.

LOL.... Do you really think that it matters to me one way or another???

You've produced staistics to prove your point. And I have done the same.

Case in point, statistics aren't always relevant, nor do they always tell the full story. 89% of three fifths know that!

And my 20 posts, I think it's about 9-9... Check the stats.... You'll see it must be true...

And after that, we're still not winning at TS this year like we are at SCG....
