Thought Bevo's game was ordinary (in a good sense). He did nothing remarkable for a top level player and didn't mess up very much. It really is an indictment of his output this year that the title of this thread is "what a game" because he managed to play the sort of normal game that about 25 other back pockets play every week in the afl.
BTW with reference to the argument about Bevan being a rising star nominee...so was LRT and he can't even get in the team at the moment.
Bevan was BOG against Essendon at the MCG in 2004 (when the umpires had to be admonished for pretty much taking the game away from us)...but so what? He hardly ever has BITS of play to match that these days (let alone whole games).
Plenty of us could see him in the #14 back then. From memory he kicked about 10 goals straight as well. The fact is he can't play that well any more. God knows why, quite frankly.
