    Flooding....

After watching last nights game, can we finally hand over the mantle as the "flooding" team of the comp????

I mean seriously, StKilda had the flood from hell going on and yet even listening to the commentary not once did they say "flood" in reference to StKilda.... Only us.... they were "pushing numbers back"

Seriously getting the @@@@s with this biased commentating...

Yes, the Aints showed they were the flood kings against Hawthorn in the worst match of the year.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

That totally p#sses me off too. Swans are the only ones who flood. Everyone else, gets numbers behind the ball/blocks up space/is flooding cos thats the Swans mantle.

At one stage when the game was in the balance in the 4th quarter. Goodesy got a free on half back and it was like someone had first the starters gun for 100m sprint!! All the Saints forwards were off to the races for the other end.

I am not saying we dont do it, everyone "floods" or whatever in some form or another. Its like ice, everyone does it!!

I have said it before, but I believe that Ross Lyon is the one behind the Swans defensive flooding. The fact that St Kilda now do is almost all of the time says to me that he was the instigator. However at Sydney he wasn't the one who called the shots/had the final say.

Reading the Aints forum, there are still those complaining about Sydney Flooding
Saw it being done by Melbourne @ Manuka, saw it @ Telstra by St Kilda welcome to football 2007 style.

Meh who cares. It's part of the lexicon now, just like bandwagonners and swans supporters saying ref instead of umpire.

i just laugh these days and it irks them more!

I heard Ross Lyons got a late phone call and is now building an ark.

Both Adelaide and Geelong were flooding yesterday.

When Geelong were chipping it around because they had no free options the crowd was cheering every new possession. When the Crows had the temerity to exactly do the same because of the Cats' uber flood, the ferals were going off.

                  Go figure.

There is a woman behind us at TS who I would swear has had a frontal lobotomy. She howls at the swans anytime they kick sideways. Or even if they handpass rather than kick...even at the end of the game vs St Kilda when they refused to man up....

I'm with you MMG..... I was with a friend (You know who you are ) that was trouting on the same crap. Kick it, go fwd, etc, etc. Whereas I'm quite content for them to leave one of our players loose and have us chip it around whilst the clock ticks down and we have a three goal lead.

It's not Sydney's fault. It's StKilda's. They don't man up, they will never force a contest. Which when you think about it, is one of the first things you're taught when you're learning to play... Kick it to the loose man!!

                            Crap indeed.
Chipping it around with 10 minutes to go on the clock is downright boring.
There's always time to thread another goal through.
