I thought the reason for putting blokes on the LTI list was so rookies could be elevated. If the deadline for rookie elevation has passed, why bother.

Nice to see you all write crouch off so easily. I believe i read on the swans website that Crouch along with LRT will line up with the ressies this weekend so who knows what to believe!

Crouch is not on the injury listed as shown on the Swans Web site, although I have seen his name on other lists.

Not hearing anything specific about a re-injury, I would assume the Swans site is correct.

As for the 3 now listed as long term injured, it would seem irrelevant to put anyone on the list unless there was a prospect of elevating a rookie. I don't know of any other ramifications for such a move, but then, I haven't read the rules on this subject. Maybe the paperwork has been submitted, but has not been approved by the AFL yet, so no announcement has been made. Also possible that no announcement will be made in any case, unless an elevated rookie will actually play.

It has something to do with TPP and how much each club is allowed to spend over the salary cap due to long term injuries.

So yes there is a point.

Four. Faulks and DOK were placed on it around the same time - with Brennan elevated for one and possibly Jack for the other. The comment about no players elevated this time round relates to Doyle and Currie now being placed on the list.

He'd be on a very small contract if he stays. But he is a good back up. We got within 1 point of back to back because he stood up at the right time last year. He is a talent, just spends so little time on the field.

I think Brennan is ahead of Grundy or Vogels as the backup tall defender, so he'll keep his place until LRT or Leo come back. Good luck to the lad.

Problem is that Brennan is about three inches shorter than the other two.

That hasn't stopped Leo though. In fact Brennan is a couple of cm's taller than Leo. It's quite amazing that Leo is the same height as Kirk, Ablett, Bevan, McVeigh..
