Swans are just making up the finals numbers for '07

I hate to go against my bloods faith but I have to be realistic here. After watching alot of teams this season and comparing them to the swans play I can safely say we are no chance for the flag this year.

Most of that ties in with our squandering of a top 4 place by drawing vs brisbane (why would you shut the game down with 4 min to go??) but also the fact that teams are easily catching on to our hard defensive style and tempo footy.

It's currently 3qtr time vs the Pies and we are down by 28.
Geelong, WCE, Collingwood, Kangaroos all match up very well with us.

it'll take a miracle for us to win tonight and we'll probably finish 6th or 7th and thats only if we beat the hawks in rd 22.

Geelong v WCE grannie for me with Geelong prevailing.

I know we have lost the services of kennelly, barry and co in defence but we're not the only side with injury worries.

After tonights game, I hate to say I told yers so.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Our season ended when Kenneally went down two weeks ago.

Barry Hall has been playing like he's walking on egg shells all year, whilst getting a hard deal from the umps and MOL has just become mostly irrelevant to opposition teams.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I think a lot of injuries right through the list.
Now its all starting to unravel at a pace!

With the injuries now I cant see how they can avoid bringing LRT back now....or back to having Vogels, Schmidt etc....all bad @#$% going down now....

Can all those people who argued with me for mentioning the words "finals fodder" a few weeks ago, please eat their words?

                  Question:

If we smack Hawthorn by 10 goals next week and get barry/kennelly/LRT back for the first game of the finals is our season still over?

                    That's a big IF.
                    Short answer is yep.
I'm sorry, but Barry's hands can't be trusted (neither can his kicking).
LRT won't be back this season.
Kennelly can't lift the team on his own.

I'm glad you're not playing for our team because even if you had the best skills in the league your attitude is pathetic and you would bring the whole team down.

Don't even bother watching next week..

Kennelly can't lift the team on his own? I beg to differ. He is the most influential player in our team and probably the whole league.

Pal ... I more than anybody want the swans to make me eat my words. I picked it quite a few weeks ago and was thrown down from all fronts.
I know my footy ... the swans are not going to make the granny this year. I'm not pathetic ... just keepin' it real.

What good is Kennelly if we can't get the ball past centre forward???? Kennelly CAN'T put the team into the granny on his own.

With this ridiculous hands in the back rule it seems Barry has forgotten or is afraid of taking a contested mark incase he gives away a free kick

Well IF we do then I'd say we'll probably play them away in week 1 @ mcg or telstra dome and could very well make it to week 2 of the finals but that's where our journey will end.

If we lose to the hawks next week we could actually miss the finals if the bombers beat richmond and essendon.

What would be better for us? Finishing 8th and playing the Pies in week 1 or the hawks? Both will be away games of course (unless the hawks lose t'row and we beat them next week, which will mean we play them at home)
