My bad. I misread the ladder and thought St Kilda had 44 points instead of 42, which would have given them the chance to pass us.
But I do agree with the sentiments that it isn't a dead rubber, because we need to regain some confidence.
And if we are to get @@@@@@ over by the umpires one more time this season, please let it be this one.

Pretty disturbing observation but unfortunately happens almost every week. Is it our upfield players are Hallcentric, could it be our upfield players had it that fewer times that it was never going to go his way because we are Hallcentric so leads dont get shared around, was it that there is a conspiracy and they will never kick it to him or are our players simply dumb and have little vision upfield and can only focus on one action at a time. Suspect it is the latter reason.

Good time to make some much needed changes (even at this last gasp stage)
At the moment we've got a team of stoppers who aren't stopping many.
        We've become predictable and stale.
Out goes : Brennan & Mol injured, Monty on holidays.
Add to those...Crouch, McVeigh, Bevan and Mathews
        Lucky to stay... Davis
In comes... Dempster, Leaper, LRT, Schmitt, Moore, Vogels, Laidlaw

        Have I forgotten anyone??
I know this only encourages the flummery but (sigh, here we go again) why Bevan? 11 possessions, 6 marks (two contested) against Medhurst, one free kick for, none against. He appeared to be variously playing on Medhurst - one goal, Leon Davis - no gaol, Didak - no goals and Bucks - no goals. He played a good defensive game, (thats what defenders are generally required to do) and held the dangerous small forwards. I think the idea that Bevo would be replaced by the tackling machine Dempster or a one gamer is just brilliant.

Even during the pies playing keeping off, when the entire two teams were in our defensive half. He was calling for someone to come forward to take his man so he could leave him and chase the ball holder, by the time some one did the ball was kicked out to the wing and the chance to put any pressure on was gone.
An interesting move would be to play him at full forward as a Williams (hawthorn) or Johnstone (doggies) type forward. One on one with an isloated defender he would win at least 50% of the pill provided its not bombed in or kicked into the stratosphere. Keep it low and in front of him in an open forward line and he would turn most defenders. His kicking is so dangerous he would only need eight or ten possessions to do some real damage

Bevo is hard at the ball and hard at the man, and thats about it. His disposals and decision making , or lack there of, are sub par.

So let me get this straight . . . if you were a member of the Swans match committee you'd be pushing for Bevan to get dropped at the moment? Seriously?

Yep - I think that is worth a try.

Depends who is fit and available. I'd definately have Dempster in ahead of him.

You are on to me. I did get a Scott Russell autograph one year at the family day at Randwick for the kids. If we are going to experiment a bit why not put Dempster on the half forward line and use his long kicking to kick over the flood and slot a few goals from the 50 metre arc? I would also give Laidlaw a run but in the middle. The kid has got the pace and skills to make a break as an outside midfielder and deliver to the leading full forward Davo.

Yep - I think Dempster should be tried further up the field.

                                Very impressive Autograph.
                                Fully agree with those ideas.
Dempster always looks threatening when he's running off the wing, he's a great kick.
Laidlaw looks the goods but was hardly given a chance.
Same could be said for Moore.
