Don't you just love the way you want to beat the Pies. I feel exactly the same.

Wonderful result and enjoyed listing to it on the radio.

Question. We have been plnoking Hall at FF when he is clearly at about 20% supposedly because he is 'playing a role.' Presumably that role is as a diversion to take the oppositions best defender. However, week in and week out for the last 6 weeks we've kicked it to Hall who has repeatedly shown he can't catch, kick or run.

So, Hall not in today and hey presto, the forward line starts to function again, goals get shared around and most amazing of all, they kick it to Nick Davis!

          Food for thought...

None of this is exactly 'news'. Barry Hall has become a liability for Sydney, and it's been happening all year, and in patches last year. If he ever gets fully fit again, who knows, but right now he should be left out of the side.

You missed my point. My point is that his supposed role in the team as a diversion isn't working because the players cannot help but kick it to him, where 90% of the time, the ball has gone to ground. In other words, I contend we are better off without him in the team because he is a distraction to his team-mates who seem compelled to kick it to him.

As I said in my other thread. They shouldn't play Barry if he's not fit. Probably the team has now proved that to the coaching staff that we don't need him half fit.

Great performance today. Got home and was asked if I was happy - my reply was that no, I was frustrated. Frustrated that over the last 2 weeks when there was something to play for, our skills and intensity let us down. Today it was there in spades.

LRT was better than I was expecting. Seemed to read the play reasonably well and his disposal was very good. Will be a huge in for next week compared to the lineup from last week's game.

On Hall, I agree with him being a distraction. We are too predictable with him there - the players can't seem to comprehend that we have other forward options - we showed that clearly today. I can't see him not playing, but the team have to sit down through the week and get it into their heads that he could be a very handy decoy, taking out a key defender making the job for MOL, ROK and Davis a whole lot easier.

                  I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

I know it has been a long time since seeing the hyphen play, but he seemed to be fastered. Still needs to get up to speed with handballs and kicks. It was good to see another big body down back.

I thought LRT was really good today.
Barlow is ace, he chases well and is not shy of contact at all.
Davo Give him the goal square and I reckon you'd get at least another 5 seasons out of him as a permanent FF.
Franklin is one very big unit. Jesse White might be bigger, he looks very, very, very solid.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

The umpires were absolute shockers. McCrap lived up to his name McCrap. Our guys played well. Even though we didn't win the quarter we still managed to win the half.

Bolton on Franklin was good. I wanted to throttle Luke Hodge on quite a number of occasions today.
