Actually that's the Champion Data rankings they are using which takes into account more than just the pure raw stats, which does take into account things like kicking efficiency and contested marks.

Yes, he does some good defensive work, which is not measured by Champion Data, but that's not the area our midfield needs now.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Using this post, I would only bring back Buchanan next week IF we dropped Schneider. But that isn't going to happen (dropping Schneider) I wouldn't think. I have always thought (going back to early 2005) that Schneider and Buchanan can't play in the same side to together. Somehow they managed to work it in end to win a Premiership in 05 and get back to the GF last, but this has been a shocker for Buchanan and not much better for Schneider (who is at least kicking goals - most weeks).
Today I felt Schneider was OK without being great (maybe if he kicked those goals instead of behinds his game would of been looked at differently) but the team balance in the defence and midfield looked as good as its been all year (I'm not going to talk about the forward line because we just all know....). Whatever reason that was, be it Buchanan missing or the fact we had our defence back together finally (minus Kennelly), we had our balance right for once this season going forward and helps the forward line regardless of its makeup.
End of the day I think Barlow can make way because he isn't really used for match up's at the moment and we WILL bring Hall back (regardless of how good the forward line looked) and he really is the only person I can think of dropping. Dempster? No. LRT? No. I rather replace Ablett (If injury does force him out) with Schmidt than Buchanan (and I'm not THINKING of risking Kennelly). If Ablett plays then just the one change and that should be Barlow out for Hall.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

I think we can say that Ablett's gone. So if all goes well with injuries:
In: Kennelly, Hall, Buchanan
Out: Ablett, Crouch, Barlow (sorry)
Thought Barlow was really good today. In fact, even his game against Collingwood was underrated for a 'second game blues' performance. He has a Goodes-like 'take 'em on and damn the torpedoes' quality about him that is very attractive to watch and stops Sydney becoming too formulaic.
However, it's hard to see who else could go out from the 22 who played today. Certainly, LRT is going to be a crucial difference from the round 21 game; and my views on Dempster are oft-stated (and good to see some support for 'em in this thread!).Comment

Barlow against Pendelbery is a very good idea, but Roos won't see it that way.
I also think our forward line is so much more open and presents many more opportunities when BBB doesn't play. The attention he gets crowds up the forward area and by doing that our outside forwards don't get a look in.Look what they did on Sunday when Davis,O'Keefe and O'Laughlin had all the room they wanted.Comment

I also believe that Buchanon will come back in, but am surprised as for the first time this year no one is calling for Bevan's head. I think it's great that he has proved himself to the coaches and finally now to the fans.Comment

My preference is - OUT:Ablett, Crouch IN: Hall, Kennelly
And thought very hard about replacing Barlow with Buchanan/Schmidt.Comment
