Those are some good seats. I couldn't hear anything from the top of the Ponsford Stand.

Have you watched ANY Swans games this season? Or last? While Goodes was going through whatever Goodes was going through for the first half of this season, Kirk was quietly doing his best to carry our midfield almost single-handedly. If you only have an hour or so to spare, watch the second half of the first Hawks game for just a taste of Kirk's contribution.

And while Goodes was pretty good in the second half of last year's Granny, Kirk was outstanding. Even most Weagles fans accept he had claims to the NS based on that.

Yep. Alot of F-bombs. MF Bombs galore. Bombs from Kirky got us over the line that night.

No one can tell me what Kirky's done that's so inspirational, other than do the Kokoda track. If he was so best and fairest, don't you think they would have given him a brownlow?
Really some quite silly comments there.

As for captains without Brownlows, try David Neitz, Matthew Lloyd, Brad Johnson, Matthew Pavlich, Tom Harley, Richard Vandenberg, Adam Simpson, Warren Tredrea, Kane Johnson...

What did I say that so offended you? I said you don't know what you're talking about and based on the responses to your ridiculous suggestion I think everyone else agrees.

There is a strong case for Kirk to be stand alone captain next year, not replaced by Adam Goodes.

I'll never quit the fight to make Goodsey captain. I can have seventeen new ones ripped for all I care. I'm made of tough stuff. I can take it.

I would say that that was just a case of Kirk doing HIS job and Goodsey (and others) NOT doing theirs.

Well, Kirk IS one of the the current captains, so I would expect that he HAS to work that little bit harder than everyone else.

If you want to go up that line have a look at this years top 8.

Four of the top 5 have captains that have NOT won a Charlie.

5 out of the top 8 have NOT won a Brownlow and for 2 of those skippers with a medal they have played a very very small part in actually being successful this year (in terms of actually playing football).

Doesn't just have to be captains from THIS year ... remember there are 16 captains, but only one brownlow.
