I'd put Phillips in the forward pocket. Need someone to pressure inside our forward50, it's just not there atm.
    CHB - LRT or Bolton
    BP - Richards or Brennan
    HF/FP - Grundy, Schneider
    RR/W - Buchanan

I've said it elsewhere, but I'll say it again....if I were in charge I would delist Bevan, Fosdike, Mathews, McVeigh and J. Bolton...possibly Richards and Ablett as well (might have to give Luke a chance to play without shackles)

          So 22

          Crouch, Barry, C. Bolton
          Kennelly, Roberts-Thomson, Dempster
          Ablett, Kirk, Malceski
          O'Keefe, Hall, Davis
          Phillips, O'Loughlin, Barlow
          Everitt, Schmidt, Buchanan
          Int: Doyle, Moore, Brennan, Laidlaw
          Emerg: Schneider, Rowe, Thornton

This is my idea for the 2008 team:

            B: Richards, LRT, Dempster
            HB: C Bolton, Barlow, Kennelly
            C: Malceski, Schmidt, Buchanan
            HF: O'Keefe, Hall, Schneider
            F: O'Loughlin, Davis, McVeigh
            R: Everitt, Goodes, Kirk

Inter from: Jolly, Brennan, Laidlaw, Jack, Thornton, Simpkin, Phillips, Moore, White, Rowe, Vogels, Grundy, Brabazon, Doyle, Fosdike, Ablett, Bevan.

Let's actually play the guys in the seniors who get in the 'best' list in the reserves and give them a decent shot to see what they can do.

There are plenty of options for defence, talls, midfielders and forwards in that list. Give everyone a good try out.

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

                No Jolly?

Don't agree on Dempster and McVeigh. Both give us very little in my opinion.

I think its under the assumption that Jolly has headed back to Melbourne.

Would be good to see Dempster allowed to be more attacking. Maybe an attacking half back alongside Kennelly, and moving Eski into the midfield.

I'd like to see how they go when freed up to play football. Both have reasonable skills. Dempster could be an outside midfielder and McVeigh a small forward.

Actually I just forgot, but the team doesn't change a lot with or without him.

I'd like to see that too. But can you really see it happening while Roos is coach?

If they stay in their current roles, I don't think either is in our best 22.

Dempster and McVeigh are very frustrating. Both are good athletes, have good foot skills but yet their application is very poor.
