Yep - start him at CHB and then either transition him toCHF to replace Hall permanently, or as the game goes see what happens (a la Hunter or Lepptisch). White is another tall option too.

      Meh... Either or either.....

      HB, FB.... Whatever.

BUt surely if you want to be in a winning position, your attack should start from the midfield when the ball is bounced. You shouldn't be relying on your back line to get the ball. Ideally, you should clear it from the centre in the first place!

Yes, but most teams also have an attacking HB line.

We definitely need some bigger players on the paddock.

          How quick is White?

No idea. Never seen him play, but he seems to get good reports.

Adam Goodes can't do it alone, which is why Roos will move running defender Nick Malceski into the midfield fulltime next season and look to trade for another quick outside running player.
I don't mind the sound of that.....

Don't mind that line up per se..... But I think Bevan and McVeigh still have a bit to offer. Clearly, they haven't peaked yet!!

And as much as I like Mathews & Crouch.... Think it's time for them to go. Hard decision to make, but it needs to be done.

Bolton might have a few lives left in him yet.

White is very quick for a guy his size, hopefully he'll play in the NAB cup (and our game will be shown down there) so you can get an idea of how huge he is. Bigger than Franklin, I think just as athletic; I think he is the biggest young guy we have had in a long time (biggest in a good way, not in a Mott/Schmidt way). I doubt he could do it at AFL level, but in the Canberra comp he was able to get taps at stoppages around the ground against taller opponents by relying on his (huge) vertical leap.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I worry about your focus with both White and Davis on the paddock.

Split affections can be very damaging.

Bit of an athletic freak for his size isn't he stella? Hopefully his natural game can really improve next year as he has a solid platform to work on. He should definitely get some games next year. I'm a fan.

Ok I'll have a go - I would like us to start the season with nsomething like this

                              Brennan Barry LRT

                              Bolton Barlow Kennelly

                              Malceski Kirk Dempster

                              Laidlaw Hall ROK

                              Phillips White MOL

                              Follower Jolly Ablett Buchanan
                              Interchange Schnieder Everitt Davis Fosdike

Out : Crouch - may make bench for match up against smaller forward
McVeigh - has had plenty of chances, not consistent -Trade
Bolton J - too slow poor skills but hard at it, - Trade
Bevan - Poor decision making, doesnt stay on feet, hard at it.
Mathews - great negator but poor decision making time for a younger player - Trade - delist

Richards - hard decision between Brennan and Richards and I think Richards will get better and need to keep on list.

                              Comments:

I left Leo in as its hard to see our next FB in this group. I wouldnt mind seeing Leo play in FP on some occasions -games we are finding it hard to get a goal.

Mentioned Brennan or Ted - Brennan looked ok and given a good pre season I think he could be a good defender for us.

Barlow at CHB good size and build plus athletic - fits well with our running backline.

Dempster on wing - could be a good link man and good kick into FWD 50 can also kick a goal. Adds size and strength across the mdifield.

Laidlaw across HF - we have to give this kid a chance better to do it in early games.

Hall at CHF - when fit is a good lead up player and can still play this role for us.

Davis - off the bench, pathetic at times, match winner at other, play him in 10 min bursts and give Laidlaw or another kid some gametime

Phillips - we really need that fast nippy skillfull goal sneak

White - time for the big forward target give, him a couple of games and see what he can do.

MOL - has another year at least but we need to take pressure of him by having White, Currie or Everitt to take a key defender.

                              Delist/Trade - Mathews, J Bolton, McVeigh, Vogels

Looks like our priority trade target could be a running outside midfielder but I would also like to see a good size defender to start grooming for Fullback.

Its fun doing this and reading how others would structure a team, shows us how everyone perceptions are different to certain players and roles.

                              Cheers
