Just the usual banter and it's not all about how good Geelong are.

COLLINGWOOD coach Mick Malthouse believes his young team possesses that something special, the "X-factor" that turns a good side into a champion side with the potential to win premierships.
"In some ways, this could have been Mick's hardest year of coaching," said president Eddie McGuire. Instead, it has become, in McGuire's estimation, not just his best at Collingwood, but "one of the best years of coaching of anyone since I've been watching footy".
Query on the Cats under MCG lights

GEELONG has played fearless football all year, but it has reason to be afraid of the dark.

The Cats have not won a game under lights at the MCG since their 2004 semi-final victory against Essendon.

Danny Frawley, former Richmond coach and Collingwood assistant, last night warned of the power of the Magpie army at its home ground.
"I just reckon if it's halfway through the third quarter, the scores are level and the Collingwood army is in full voice, there may be just a little bit of panic from Geelong," Frawley said.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

How any neutral supporter can cheer for Collingwood tonight is beyond me.

The Cats have clearly been the best team all year, haven't won it for a long time, their players are generally likeable, and they play an attractive style of football.

I live in Melbourne and this so-called Geelong love-fest from the media just doesn't exist. Do you expect them not to be praised in match reviews and previews?

I've developed a healthy amount of respect for the way the Magpies have gone about their football this September, but it still comes down to a battle between good and evil.

        Go Cats!
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

From what I have seen in the Melbourne media the "love-fest" was far worse for the Swans in 2005.

I'd say there is more media coverage relating to the pies in the past week, than the Cats. But not a real "love-fest" though.

Each to their own... I'm not judging you so you shouldn't judge others.

I dont like the pies much because of Eddie, but i'm a little torn tonight as with my two best mates one goes for the Pies and the other one Geelong. If any one is thinking will they be watching the game together the answer is no,because they most likly end up in a punch up.

In the love fest stakes IMHO it has been pretty much even across the board.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

I like seeing the underdog win. I also love what Collingwood did to West Coke last week.
