    Get over yourselves people.

Have we forgotten already what it's like to have a genuine chance at winning a Premiership for the first time in decades?

Have their supporters not got a right to be a little excited?

    Reeks of jealousy.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

      I want Port to win:

      1. to stick it up Adelaide,
      2. because I like seeing Mooney cry and
      3. because I like underdog victories.

I remember 2005 and most Sydney supporters i came across weren't even close to being as cocky as the Geelong supporters have been this year. There's a little thing called winning gracefully, they should learn how to do that.

Not everyone is like that, and Sydney weren't the standout team of the comp as Geelong have been for most of the year.

I always thought I would be going for the Cats if the swans were kicked out early, but have found myself firmly backing Port for the GF.

I like the underdog thing, I respect how quickly they have rebuilt after their last premiership and I would love to see how quickly the Melbourne media go into meltdown about the poor state of Victorian clubs.

Great thread. The hype for Geelong has just gone overboard. It is as if Port Adelaide are not even playing. It has started to REALLY irritate me to be honest. Especially as it is my first GF living in Victoria & I'm not used to such deliberately biased coverage.

The impression I'm getting of everything is that the pressure is starting to get to the Cats as well. Their media manager started fighting with them to get off the grass at training yesterday FFS. Even Mark Thompson admitted that the GF week "was more intense than expected". Having had to deal with the Blake dropping bombshell, he looked tired when he was interviewed on the Footy Show last night. Mark Williams looked happy cheerful & in typical Port style cocky & aggressive.

Geelong are the best team this season. But I just get the feeling Port will sip under the radar & will win tomorrow. Port are a club that wins big games. Geelong are a club who traditionally crumble.

"We are Geelong, the greatest team of all
We are Geelong, we're always on the ball
We play the game as it should be played
                Until Grand Final day!
And then we lose the plot, we fall apaaaaaaaaart
                down at Kardinia Park!"

@@@@ing HATE Geelong more than any other team in the league. It stems back to their supporters which completely taints my view of the team from sleepy hollow.

I admire Port for what they have done to the list management over the last few years to get themselves in this position, so i will be barracking hard for them.

Also helps that Adelaide are my 2nd most hated team in the league (Geelong overwhelming 1st) so like Sanecow said, i would love Port to stick it up to the Cows.

I think that Geelong probably deserves to win but Im sick of the media wanking unglamourously over them. They have been the best team. I reckon Port will be well and truly up for it though and if Geelong are nervous like they were against Collingwood Port have a real shot to knock them off their game and if that happens Port will canter in.
Doubt it will though and I think itll be an absolute cracker of a final. Must say I also am very impressed with the way Williams has rebuilt the Port list- hint hint Mr Roos lol!

Flew into Geelong last night, the whole place is blue & white round here.

I'd like to see the Cats get up - only because Port won it a couple of years ago, and Geelong haven't won one in my lifetime, so it's about time they did. The whole town will go ballistic if they win...

Port Adelaide is EVIL and its supporters are FERAL SCUM!! They must not win!! They will become unbearable with a 2/2 GF record. And surely, after 44 years and 5 grand final losses, most Swans supporters can sympathise with Geelong. I'll be yelling "Go Cats!!" tomorrow.

You spend too much time on BF. In a little thing called reality, Cats fans have been keeping a lid on it all year up until now.

In the real world, the Geelong fans I know (and there are a few) are understandably extremely nervous about the game tomorrow. I would have thought most Swans would empathise with the Geelong situation.
