Or even Paul Roos! (Technically he was drafted, but I think Maxfield was too.)

The Swans record of recruiting quality experienced players stands up to scrutiny. Jason Ball is another traded player who we got good value out of. And of course, B2 as an experienced draftee.

Certainly if you declare the duds "irrelevent to the discussion".

        Correct.

From memory it was the Barry Hall 3/4/5 way deal. Richmond needed us to take some salary cap pressure off them by taking Daffy or we could not get the 1st round pick we needed to get the Hall deal over the line.

              That was the pre-season draft

Amazed nobody has mentioned Jude Bolton. One of our low talent players who may still have some trade value: his contribution last year was minimal. If we can get somebody decent for him, thats a trade that shound be done.

Were Jude and Monty more worried about their bloody Jon Pumper tee shirts than playing good footy this year? They both had shockers.

It's a possibility, his would leave no gaping holes, and would be ideal for a team lacking a hardnut in th middle.

You don't need to declare duds "irrelevent to the discussion". If you look at the good gets and the duds and what they cost the club, it is hard to come up with a conclusion other than they have done pretty well - IMHO.

Certainly if you compare to the record on goodies vs "duds" with draft picks over a similar period, I don't think anyone would complain about the trading.

Daffy cost nothing other than cash - and as others have pointed out, it was probably necessary to take him to secure the pick we ontraded for Hall.

Allison, Tingay were late draft picks. O'Connor was a reasonably late draft pick.

The stand-out dud trade in recent years is Chambers. Can't think of any other disasters in terms of cost / benefit.

I don't particularly rate Hawking, Green, Bomford or Daffy either but, as you say, the draft picks are just as dodgy as the trades.

Any chance of someone updating the Drafting history?

Roos says he is looking at outside running midfielders, when we have a
bloke like Ryan Brabazon who had a great season last year, and IMHO
has earned the right to get a chance in the big time.

I can't remember the dud we got from Richmond, who only played a
handfull of games a few years back.
ill tell you a DUD PAUL CHAMBERS HE SUCKS the worst player iv ever seen
