The "hardness" thing is a bit like people saying that you shouldn't have "outside midfielders", that only those that are in and under are of any worth. Too many in and under midfielders is one of the reasons that we, with a very potent forward line kick so many small scores. Yes, you need people who are in and under, to get the ball, equally you need (for want of a better word) receivers, who can receive the ball and do something with it.

I always thought Shane Crawford was a great one for both. A good combination of hard and skillful. Yeah he was a show pony and a pretty boy, but there's no doubting he used to go in and get and then give off a quality disposal. Throw West, Mcleod & Black into that mix as well. That's what we need.

Kirk's always in there but disposal is crap. Schneider doesn't go in enough and isn't the most reliable disposal either. Buchanan shows a bit from time to time but not enough. Ablett has (at times) beautiful disposals but keeps out too much. McVeigh is good at neither. Mathews goes in hard but doesn't know what to do with it when he gets it. etc, etc.

If you need proof, ask Shane Crawford.

The Bullies are really struggling with their list and they are happy for him to go. Tells you something about him doesn't it. He's no good.

I've got no idea mate who is available so I can only comment on names thrown up on the site and in the press. Yep I am fussy because we won't win a flag picking up mediocrity ala Rodney Eade.

Have not missed the fact that Eade is now clutching at straws trying to pick up "stuff" from SA. Who was the dude he picked up from SA last year who hasn't fired a shot? Bullies fans are genuinely becoming restless down this way. Eade is proving once again he has an aversion to developing young players. Hope Roosey resists the temptation to play top up at any cost.

Love him to come to Swans. Seem to recall he's a lawyer and he could have a lively little sideline defamation practise here on RWO to supplement the match payments. He was a No. 10 draft pick in 2001 and has skill. He is 190 cm, quick and a very good mark. Given that four of the top Skilton medal vote getters this year were either not rated at some time in their career or rejects - Kirk, Jolly, C. Bolton and Richards our coach has a pretty good record at picking up underperformers and developing them. We can do a straight swap for Power with an inside midfielder which Rocket badly needs. Worth a shot.

According to Oldman Pop on Bigfooty who consistently predicted the ins/outs for each Swans game this season, there have been 4 delistings from the Swan's list. He mentioned no names though.

At season 2008 it is 7 years since he was a top 10 draft probably on the basis of family association. If he was any good he would have shown it by now.
