Just heard it on the TV news break.

      Very silly boy.

Should be the last straw for him.

Put a side all of his off field problems. As a swans supporter, he was a sensational player. Out for 16 weeks and pulls 40 disposals. I hope we continue on seeing him play but highly unlikely

I know it is dangerous to speculate, but I have a sneaky felling this is not over yet. He must have been targeted, because he was about to leave the country for another treatment. With this charge the police has actually prevented him from leaving Australia. This might be a sting of much greater operation to crack down on drug dealers.

Ben Cousins to face drug charge

Police said they stopped Cousins' vehicle on Newcastle St, Perth around 11.30am (WST) after he came to their attention "due to the manner of his driving.''

They allegedly found a quantity of prohibited drugs after searching the four-wheel drive vehicle.

The West Coast Eagles' midfielder was taken for questioning to the Traffic Enforcement Group headquarters in East Perth.

Police will allege Cousins failed to provide a sample of his blood for analysis.

He will appear in the Perth Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

He has been charged for drug possession and for failing to submit to a drugs test.

Well, well, well. I had a strong feeling he was going to re-offend some time during the off-season and it seems to me my wish has come true.

I will be very interested in how the police, AFL, West Coast and his friends and family will respond and react to this incident. If this is as serious as the Krakouer incident over 10 years ago, Benny could be in jail for a long time. Also Chick was involved, which doesn't surprise me one bit.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

If he's convicted he'll never set foot in the US for rehab again - they wont give him a visa.

It is very funny to go through some of the posts on BF, especially reading those posted by WCE supporters. Most of them are still in denial believing that everything is just a mistake and that Benny will run free again. I wonder if that denial is actually causing all this problems at the club.

It's been confirmed by the 6PR now that it wasn't Viagra he was charged for. Somebody must have started that as a joke and people picked it up as a truth.
