    Never happen.

He's clutching .... every recovering junkie needs something to look forward to.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Looks like it won't happen next year anyway.

      AFL could act on Cousins

THE AFL is looking at charging Ben Cousins with bringing the game into disrepute in a move that would almost certainly result in the drug-addicted 2005 Brownlow medallist being banned from playing football next season.

That's the story/angle that Channel 10 ran with.

Not sure how much credence you'd give it though.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

"There was speculation the Tigers would look at placing Cousins on the long-term injury list for 2008 with a view to playing him in 2009."

This is how it would need to be done.

They haven't been "witty" or "cutting" either.....

I would like to go on the record as saying that I offer no apology for Cousins, that I feel some sympathy for him, that my impression is that he is a bit of dickhead, I would take him at Sydney, and that I think that the WCE owe him, amongst other things, a common law duty of care despite the termination of their employment relationship.

I dont see a problem with him coming back once his issues are sorted out. He needs at least a year off footy to do that. If West Coast had made that happen in the first place instead of rushing him back to try to win another premiership before Judd left it might have made a differance. Anyone in their right mind knows that it would take alot longer than 16 weeks for someone who has obviously had a problem with this type of thing for quite some time to get their head right, but all they gave a **** about was winning a flag. I say if he gets himself right his still got 2-3 years left in him, there's not many blokes running around who can single handed win a game for their side like him
The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...

Good on ya CC thats the best thing ive heard all day.

the Swans were adamant yesterday they would never throw Cousins a lifeline.

                              BTW:Never say never.

The thing is not many people would actually know who he is in Sydney. That might actually be a good thing for him.

Kings Cross might on the other hand be a bad bad thing for him.

Let's face it; he'd kick in in our midfield of plodders!
