Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Without detracting from his overall value and regard, I'd give him a 4 for this year.
He failed in having the ability to learn from experience and change the game plan.
Caused a lot of frustration amongst supporters, and if his stubbornness continues will flow on through the team.
Here's to a great 2008 where Roos is able to be more open to changes and better prepared for what the other teams are going to throw at us.
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
Failed to change things when it was obvious that the game plan needed some 'tweaking'. He did for the last H&A game against Hawthorn, and have a look at the result!

Remained faithful to a game plan that is starting to look dated, with a fatigued playing list incapable of delivering on it.
The flaws in his 'stick the game plan' recipe became all too evident - outcoached in too many games last year - didn't make positional moves or think outside the square.
Is a legend for delivering the holy grail, but needs to add flexibility and a willingness to take risks to his reportoire or may be remembered as a one hit wonder.
2008 is a very important year for Paul Roos. Follow the same recipe and fail again and the pressure will be on.
6/10

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.
has proved himself as a great coach, but this year proved to be very stubborn.as plugger 46 said we opened up against hawthorn and played great attacking footy,as we had done in 2003.
we will not make another grand final with our negative game plan.
Roosey ... I love ya to death (you got me a premmie cup), but you've got to change that freakin' game plan.
Flexibility is the name of the game for 2008.

6.5/10. Hey, we still made the finals (and got shown the door by probably the second best team, form-wise at that time). As just about everyone else has said he needs to show some creativity next year. Give the kids more of a chance
Kick it to Davo!!!!

Definitely his worst year but I'm hoping it was just a "I owe it to the boys" period and that this season he will play everyone in their correct positions and change things up a bit.

Couldnt agree any more with ya Plugger46.
Others now have worked us out and I thought Roosy just tried to stick at our game plan way to long.
When we run we look as good as anybody else, and cant believe with a forward line that we have why we why we dont get it in their quickly. Watch GEELONG
Also Roosy seemed to stick to fat to the same players who run into bad form eg : Ben Matthews .Want to see him re invent himself by having faith in our kids by playing them and giving them ground time. Play them 2 or 3 weeks in a row
Still though love our culture and its great that others clubs have taken what Roosy has implemented at the Swans.
He passes , still made finals in what an even comp and we are competitive most weeks.
7/10
Ive said it before and I will say it again, We don't lose to essendon by 1 point and we're in the top four and have a home final. Don't lose to WCE in rnd 1 and we'd have been in top 3. Don't draw against Bris and we finish second on the ladder! i simply can not and will not blame Roosey for these three things and am in disbelief at those who have not given or have considered not giving him a pass mark for the 2007 season.
Obviously I am not going to give him an 8/9/10 because we finish seventh and didn't win the cup.
7.5 out of ten: half way between not passing and bringing us a fifth (second as Sydney) premiership cup.
I don't need to say too much more than what has already been said because I agree with bits and pieces of all of it.
Bennyfrou is spot on when he said we were five points (two, two and one) away from the top two, so Roosy must have been doing something right.
But I also agree with others that think he got a bit stubborn and wouldn't release the team to play the footy they played against Hawthorn more often.
He still gets a good score from me, but it is lower than I would have given any other year.
7/10.
