Either Goodes or Bolton would have been an excellent selection - at least based on what we can see from the outside. It is nice that the club is spoilt for choice but would like to see Goodes get his chance sooner rather than later.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Well done to Craig Bolton - he will make a fine captain of the Red and White.
Sheesh. The Board are a pack of pussies. They are far easier to work with than the match committee.
All I need to do is open an extra button on my shirt and they give me what I want!!
mmmmmmmmmmm i would like to see that ..lol
But seriously N D would of been 1st choice but bolton is also a great choice....
I think Craig is a good choice, however what happened to the previously stated logic of having captains all over the park?
I recall when the 3 captains was implemented Roos said it wasn't a captain for each part of the ground, and it was convienient that it had worked out that way in this case.
Agree with the 3 captains being stupid....once again.
Kirk for mine.
That said congrats to Bolton. My favorite Swan ATM....so couldn't have made a better choice!
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
Kinda surprised by the response here. This looks like a kick in the teeth to our most brilliant footballer to me.
As much as I admire B2, Goodes is the one 20something player in our squad who looks like a natural born 6+ year captain. Hopefully he gets that chance soon.
